how is that not a reviewable play or challengeable.. I mean when they review if a player goes out of bounds then they reset the clock if he does to when he steps out? Wouldn't this be the same type of situation?
Oh, these refs better get reprimanded or there is seriously something wrong with the system. I have this odd feeling we are gonna get screwed because of the clock not being reset. But, we have to get the ball back first.
In reality costs us 40 seconds because they would have had to run 3rd down b4 the 2 minute warning. Un-fuckin-believable.
these refs will not be calling any games in the postseason. its pretty clear. having said that, there's gonna be a ton of posters that think the jets won't see the post season either.
The "Ref's" sucked, ruling on a number of plays. wow!......THANKYOUDETROIT!......do BOTH teams have knuckleheads calling the "O" ????? Weird Hope Folk somehow gets us into OT
I can't imagine there are many refs in the running to be calling games in the post season. This has been a horrendous season for the officials.
we stole one let's leave it at that....if the shoe was on the other foot, it would've been "Same Old Jets" .....phuck it, we won, period. That said, the Jets with all their chirping have a lot to make up for given their (Denver-Detriot) Hudini acts lately. Those are games that could've very easily been lost....6-2 could've been ? And that's not accounting for "Super Bowl" Chad Henny walking Miami down the field inside the 5-yard-line, or the Viking mess (where both teams spit the bit in the 4th qtr) .... Glad we won.....glad Stafford missed Best earlier on that pass .... yikes... too many "heart-in-the-mouth" moments courtesy of a lack of a pass rush......forcing the DB's/LB's (time & greater distance) to have to cover a bigger piece of the field...downfield.... Kill the fucking quarterback already!...minus depending on these "runt" blitz schemes.......
It wasn't as 1 sided as Denver but it was bad BOTH ways... 2 of the 3 Chop Blocks were wrong because the player wasn't "Engaged" when the chop came. The Clock Run off has to be fixed. The Clock was to stop asa the ball is percieved to cross/touch the Goalline yet, they wait :30 to call a TD and that's our loss? They needd to add that time back and never did. Also, The LIONS pushed off all day, yet in Denver we get called for barely making contact?
Apparently it couldn't be stopped because the officials did not make a signal to dead the clock (captain obvious, I know), when Sanchez initially scored. They failed to make a call right away, which is inexcusable.
Agreed. I don't remember a season with the ref's being this bad since the replacement/strike year. This is just brutal and if it wasn't for Goodell fining the hell outta folks that dare speak the truth, you'd hear alot more complaining about it.
Thats right. I wasn't just 12+ seconds. It cost us 40 seconds. At 2:59, the kickoff would end at about 2:52 (instead of 2:39), first down play would end up around 2:47 (instead of 2:33, time out). Second down play would end by 2:42, and the Lions would have to run another play before the 2 min warning and punt at the 2:00 min mark. As it stood, Lions got to run down the clock to 2 min warning, and could have run down the clock to 1:15 before punting if they ran the ball. Dumb decision to pass at 2 min warning cuz Jets would have had about 1:02 if they ran on 3rd down.
So the clock runs as the refs try to figure out if a TD is a TD? And that's the refs doing the right thing? Is that really true?
