A hiccup is exactly what I'd call it, or "a bad day at the office". We will right the ship @DET.

He clearly did read the article. Does someone need to explain this to you?

The reason why the Raven's could go without offensive touchdowns is because their defence scored, while ours isn't.

^this. It really isn't hard to figure out...although it is for some apparently. This Jets D is good, but it's not Ravens 2000 good.

    I'll make it easy:

Its about the matchups against certain defenses.

The team that can't cover a TE - Keller has a big day.

Can't cover the slot? Cotch has a big day.

Notorious for giving up the big play? Edwards/Holmes can have a big day.

Can't stop the run? Then the receivers bite the bullet and Sanchez throws the ball 21 times.

If this offense is going to work then they better listen to their head coach. "We aren't going to change who the fuck we are." I remember Rex saying that on Hard Knocks. The offensive philosophy can't change.

    Exactly WSW.

Any Jet fan that cant read between the lines of what Rex says by now is just not paying attention.

All this talk about Rex being a players coach...well Parcells was too. The difference between a Ryan/Parcells type of players coach and others that truly define it is that they pump you up but will drill you when you are wrong. Its the perfect combo.

Rex is not the true definition of a players coach. When a few players were questioned after the game on SNY what Rex was like in the locker room after the game, their answers were abstract and filled with "he lit into us" without them actually saying it.

The thing that bothers me most about the offense is the 3rd and 4 to 8 yards to go. Im getting sick of the passes that need to be perfectly drilled into these dumb button hook routes ran by DK or slot receivers. There is no movement in the routes. Its been like that under Schotty for several years now. With the type of receivers and tight end we have, there should be more motion and not a receiver running to the first down marker and turning around.

I call it everytime its 3rd down. The problem with that route is if its not there..its over. It will never be there. There is no chance for seperation...and you have Sanchez looking for something that will never be there.

Despite being a running team, I think the Jets are going to have to come out and pass a lot to establish the passing game (and actually catch the passes), otherwise teams are going to sit on the run. I don't think it would be a great idea to come out and start running the ball a lot because we'll get stuffed. We got stuffed by two shitty run defenses in a row, so it doesn't matter how bad a team's run defense is. If the Jets can't pass effectively, they won't be able to do anything on offense.

I agree with Rex that was just an awful offensive performance by everyone after a bye, the whole unit looked flat. We should bounce back this week

I expect Detroit will put 11 in the box until we score 3 passing td's.

Seriously it was one game, Sanchez did have a tough time in Denver but still passed our way Down to win.

I'm sure the offense will go back to it's week 2-4 style. Sanchez passing 25-30 and run it down their throats when we can and to close out the game.

If half those dropped passes were caught, Jets win the game. Obviously a hiccup. Players aren't going to drop passes like that on a regular basis, except maybe Braylon Edwards.

I still don't trust Sanchez. He has shown flashes, but he has yet to put together consistent performances over a period of time.
