http://www.therealrandymoss.com/ New Poll up on Randy Moss's website: Where will Randy play next?? a) Seahawks b) Rams c) Dolphins Lets hope its not c)
The Rams are a .500 team right now....without a #1 WR. He's a perfect fit for them...all character issues aside of course.
Having Moss brings nothing to this offense anyway. We have deep threats and diversity on offense as is. The only thing we really need is for our QB to recognize open receivers downfield.
We dont need Randy Moss. Cotchery is a well respected player who has been here for a long time and in my opinion just fits this offense better then Moss at this point. Signing Moss and moving J-Co down the DC or cutting him would be a mistake in my opinion.
Dude, do you really think ANY team would sign a guy a controversial as Randy Moss, JUST to "play keep away"? That's not realistic. Teams draft who they want to draft, and sign who they want to sign, regardless of other teams interests. If we sign him, (we won't) it's not because we are afraid he's going back to New England.
We can stop all the speculation about Randy Moss coming to the Jets at this point. It's pretty clear they aren't going to put in a claim for him. If they were even thinking about it, they wouldn't have said anything. Also, the fact of the matter is that we are already full on good WR's. There just isn't room for him here. The thing I think that's worth talking about is whether Miami will put in a claim for him. Seattle and St. Louis don't really affect us in the same way that Miami getting Moss would. Now, let's say that Miami does put in a claim and Randy Moss does go to Miami. I really don't think he would have much impact there anyway. Moss has had almost no impact on the Patriots or the Vikings this year, two teams which are heavily pass oriented. Miami is even less pass oriented, and they already have a #1 WR in Brandon Marshall. So, really, I think none of this matters to us at all.
It wouldn't make any sense, seeing as how the waiver system is going to dictate this, for Moss to meet with any players or coaches from the Jets. I suppose they might want to talk to him before deciding whether or not they'd put in a claim, but I don't know if that's even within league rules. The Vikings put him on waivers but they technically still own his rights until 4 pm today. It also doesn't make sense that any AFC East teams would take him to "block" the Patriots from getting him back. If you think Belichick wants him back, you don't know the guy very well. It's not gonna happen.
