Positives: 4 large video screens slighty better viewing distance more luxury boxes for the rich and/or corportations not called Giants Stadium Negatives: more luxury boxes for the rich and/or corportations higher cost of the average ticket (paid $120 for section 328) $800 million waste of $$$$ PSL's food still average and over-priced
I wasn't impressed at all either. It was a pain in the ass to walk around and I fucking hate that it's so wide open. When it gets cold there's no place to go to warm up as its all outside. I mean you can go into the bars to get warm but there's a million people in there doing the same.
What the deal with Male Female frisk lines? Only place ive been without unisex weapons searches, Female lines are empty, male lines for a mile. And the staircases are garbage to, you can only get one direction of traffic at a time, never remember this at the old stadium, not to the extent of a problem like yesterday at least.
Just wear a jacket, I was upstairs yesterday on the shady side and had to shed a layer. If all else fails sneak in a whiskey jacket.
Also what the fuck is with the tiny bathrooms, I still have to wait 15 min to take a piss. No tv monitors in the bathrooms either...and what's up with the urinals. It's like your pissing into a tiny porcelain cup. Seriously....REAL URINALS WITH DIVIDERS PLEASE. What the hell are the Jets encouraging gay orgies with thise "open urination" policy?
I thought the food was pretty good, they got pork roll sandwiches now, as well as bbq pork sandwiches, and cups of chili. I ate all these in one night btw(minnesota game, for warmth) and the next day still thought they were decent for stadium food.
You seriously do more or less have to show the entire bathroom your Woody Johnson to take a piss. The food is LIGHT YEARS better than Aramark's piss from the old stadium. Some of the stairs are awkward, but you gotta figure the place out. There are escalators, stairs, and the ramps. I've found the stairs to be the fastest exit, as people flock to the escalators, and the ramps clog when you reach the lowers. Every one of your negatives were price related. We know it's expensive. It's the buyer's choice: pay or don't. I think it's a nice place. *What i DON'T like the the 5 hour pregame lot opening rule for tailgating. It was put in a couple years ago with "construction issues" as an excuse. Construction is done, rule still there. They make you parallel park on the road coming from the turnpike and wait. It's retarded and a mess every time.
..if jerks like you want to spend the $$ then go ahead, I was expecting more positives...I'm not the only one who feels thing way, ...sounds like many others are not "impressed"...
I'm not impressed with the new stadium either. In addition to the price, which everyone is upset about, I don't feel like there's anything truly different outside of the new screens. I mean, I'm sure it is, but it just feels like there's nothing special about this new stadium. For the money they spent on it, I just expected something better.
You can't bitch on prices.. What did you expect? A dollar store inside the stadium? Like forreall.. Eat and drink before the game and don't bitch.. That's what I do..
I can see them as a positive and a negative also. Less fake football fans taking up noisemaking room and the better seats-positive. Less room for more seats for real noisemaking football fans-negative.
Why don't you elaborate on these "positives" you were looking for. I'll try and predict some of them: 1) $2 ticket prices 2) $1 parking fee 3) free food 4) free beer 5) access to the Jets locker room after the game Feel free and continue to add to your list
I thought the stadium was awesome....and I experienced it during the monday night monsoon versus the Vikes. Quit whining.
