clearly i was being an ass, but it might help if i describe what it was i was alluding too. all of 3 games ago, there were threads on how we blitz way too much. this game we did what most in that thread wanted..... clearly it didn't work out too well.
i don't know what was with them flip flopping between man up/left side yesterday. but it does seem like they were a bit hesitant with him.
i dunno wtf the impression is. all i know is revis should never be on the 4th wr ever again.. i guess they were trying to catch rodgers off guard. BUT to have Drew fucking Coleman on Jennings yesterday made me lose my mind.
I'm not arguing the fact that our D was great yesterday. Anytime you hold the Pack to 9 points you have done your job. Now what I'm asking is that our D go beyond the call of duty and start generating points. Is that something you can coach? I don't know... I'm very curious to see how we approach the draft next season... I assume D-line first, but who knows.
The Jets offense has been somewhat anemic since Vinney played here excluding Favre's year. I don't know why but it seems the Jets never seem to have a prolific offense but the D is usually better than average. Trend maybe?
You're getting least knowledgeable again. Maybe with two wins you'll be ignored for good. You never get what's going on. Ever.
this should never have been allowed to happen. there was a series in which after i saw consecutive plays of coleman on jennings that i said its peyton manning all over again.
Coordinators sucking No true elite QB. The last time the Jets had an offense that scared the living shit out of people was Namath to Maynard. It was similar to Manning to Harrison back in that day. Teams were frightened by it. The Jets have had mediocre QBs, so you get mediocre results. The defenses have always been better because of the better personnel. There is no curse or crazy reason. Just simple facts.
we should all chip in and buy shotty a Who Moved My Cheese book. * its a book about change and how to better see/manage/adapt to it stupid joke, i know... i'll be here all week.
the jets were +10 in turnovers before yesterday's game which led the NFL. we force turnovers. scoring off of them is lucky. you have to be in the right position to take a pick 6 to the house or recover a fumble and turn it into a TD.
Maybe it'll help. When there is this much talent on offense, and you don't score a TD in 2 out of 7 games and get shut out at home. I don't understand how Schotty can still be loved around that organization. The execution was bad yesterday, but the philosophy is still not congruent with what Rex wants.
The Jets D held the packers to 9 points. 3 came from a silly fake punt which isnt on the D. The last 3 came on our 4th down turnover because we needed to convert and couldnt punt. Only 3 points is really on our D and I dont care what team your against that is impressive.
i don't see how you can say that when our D doesn't put up at least 12 weekly i kid i kid. our D is impressive sure. a passrush would make the D even scarier. given the options of what we have vs' what we had in years past (sans last year) i'll take it.
Or be willing to have Revis line up vs. the slot WR. If Revis and Cro are gonna be outside the whole game then teams are just gonna put their #1 or #2 receiver in the slot and let him attack Drew Coleman. Coleman's been playing well but he has no chance against the top tier WRs in the NFL.
