Idk all I know is since holmes came in the Vikings games, our passing game has really dropped off. We looked great in the Patriots, Dolphins, and Bills game but since Holmes has arrived the TD's have dropped. w/e
The thread title sucks, but I can't disagree with anything you say. If Santonio were making plays consistently, I'd have no problem with the Santonio first down thing. Kind of like how I don't mind how Braylon does it anymore because he's been making plays. Holmes has flashed some ability. But he's also made some stupid plays and has had some really bad drops. He's supposed to have great hands. Edwards has been the most sure-handed Jet receiver this year, believe it or not, not including Keller. I root for Holmes, and I've always liked his talents, but he has to play better. He has a lot of talent. Hopefully he'll get his timing down sooner rather than later. They sure like to throw to him. I feel eventually it will pay dividends because he's too good of a player. Not yet though. Since we've gotten Holmes back, the offense hasn't run as smoothly. Not sure if one has to do with the other, but there's a good chance.

I agree with the OP. The bravado after making a catch is sickening. Just make the catch run back to the huddle and make the next one.
This is silly. Holmes showed some of his play making ability yesterday (outside of his key drop). I actually can see a scenario where we keep both Holmes and Edwards and let Cotchery go.
