Have fun with this one.... "Nearly three years after nearly parlaying a stint on Dancing with the Stars into a movie deal but opting instead to keep playing football, Jets defensive end Jason Taylor currently plans to end his NFL career after the 2010 season, per a league source. The evidence comes from the fact that Taylor, 36, has hired CAA for his off-field interests, as confirmed by Taylor's presence in the ever-growing army of CAA clients who are available for speaking engagements. We've confirmed that, indeed, Taylor has hired CAA to represent him for matters other than football. The fact that CAA, which take an all-or-nothing approach to athlete representation, has not also secured Taylor as a client for contractual purposes (Taylor is still represented by Gary Wichard) means that Taylor has no plan to sign another NFL contract. Technically, Taylor is under contract with the Jets through 2011. But we're told that this will be Taylor's last year in the NFL. Of course, we've heard that before with other players. For now, however, there's no reason to believe that the rare decision by CAA to accept marketing representation without insisting on football representation means anything other than Taylor will be calling it quits after his first and only season with the Jets." http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...-plans-to-call-it-quits-after-2010/?related=1
Florio sucks worse than Taylor. This smells like some of the fresh garbage he comes up with on a weekly basis. Notice there's no real evidence - only that Taylor hired a firm to book him for speaking engagements.
Bahh I am not sure where to file this.... 1.) In my Mike Florio eats a bag a dicks file. 2.) Mike Florio's rug is cramping his brain file. 3.) Who gives a fuck file. decisions, decisions.......
I don't buy it Taylor seems real happy I bet he only retires if he gets a ring He cleary can still play at a high level
Big deal. I'm glad he's on our team but I'm not going to worry one bit about him not being here next year.
Are there any decent pass-rushing OLBs in the upcoming draft? We need pass-rushing help, in general. Big time. OLB or DE should do the trick.
I was under the assumption that he was at least done with the Jets after this year, if not retiring. When he signed the contract, everyone said it was essentially a 1 year contract because he was due to make too much in the second year for the Jets to keep him around.
