TBH Wayne, that very small contingent boo everything, bottom of the pond.
The southern media (sky) are also stirring the pot by continually saying that Hughtons job is safe...for now. No ne up here is saying that.
Hughton has been a breathe of fresh air and hope that hes given the time he need to slowly build us back up.
Impatient idiots want champs league football , now , retards.

On JT, totally agreed. I hated him coming to us, but was prepared to 'let him earn respect', which hes done in spades. Why some folks can't accept that. I just don't understand.

As soon as he retires after this year he'll sign his fake contract to retire a dolphin and he'll be back to hating the Jets and we'll be back to hating him. I just hope we hate him w/ a Super Bowl ring.

Slightly off topic but something he mentioned keeps coming up, and it fascinates me.

He mentioned Rex's speech to kick off training camp and "Hard Knocks"

"We want to lead the league in wins."

That speech was riddled with cliches and devoid of any revelatory content.
Really Rex? Lead the league in wins? Win the Superbowl? huh...who'd of thunk it?

It could have been easy for Vet guys like say LT or JT (one coming from a team we just throttled in the playoffs, and one coming from our bitter rivals) to be cynical at that point.

But as the camera panned around the room you could see that he had these guys undivided attention...and if you dig under the surface of that speech just a bit you find the real message which JT just mirrored in that interview.

    What's our goal on offense?
    What's our goal on defense?
What's our goal on special teams?

Fuck the stats...lead the league in wins...go out there and do your jobs to the best of your abilities and no one out there can beat you.

    JT bought in...
    LT bought in...

Every Jet in that room bought in to that speech...and damn these guys are good.

Glad JT is a Jet...and it's becoming clear that RR will eventually go down is the most revered coach in Jet history.

That would be great... he's probably a HOF player so if he wins a SB bowl with the Jets it'll be so much sweeter watching it on TV while he is giving his speech with that big old ring and the pan shots of all the Phag fans in the aqua #99 jerseys in the crowd.

I don't think he is a HOF player. I think he is one of those guys that could make it 20 years down the road but there are better pass rushers not in yet and Jason was always a no show in big games and the leader of one of the legendary choking D's of all time. I don't think Strahan desereves to be a HOFer and Strahan was better than Taylor but b/c Starahn has kept himself in the spotlight(and b/c he finally stepped up in postseason and led his team to a SB) I think he will get in.

I think if the Jets win the SB and he is a big contributor like he has been so far that would silence critics. Throw in I'm sure he'll find his way on TV as he is a good speaker and he'll stay relevant for the required time.

I wouldn't call him a big contributor so far and his role will be decreased w/ pace back. he's been good for us(especially against the run) but we'll see what he can do down the stretch. he's known for never showing up in big games but as a part time player maybe he won't have that same pressure on him?

Lmao I loved it when Bryan Cox was on the team. I wished he contributed more, but...

Taylor may still be an asshole. But he's our asshole, so he's ok in my book.

First there was hate. Now there is love. Kinda like what happened in my first marriage only in reverse.

Been pretty productive so far. 3 sacks (2 of which were strip sacks) in 6 games seems to me better then most of the others on the D side of the ball have accomplished to date :jets:

i hated him with a passion but hes a future HOF and hes doing exactly what he was brought here to do. in fact i hope hes around next yr too as a rotational rusher. hes made some nice plays for us.

the best part is u can tell he loves rex

and that kind of attitude is exactly what you want in your locker room. fuckin love it.

Had my wife too right about there. I'm pretty sure she was sick of me screaming "Somebody hit that fucker." over and over again.
