The Packers don't worry me so much. Sure, they have a great passing offense, but so did the Chargers... AND the Chargers had tall receivers... do the Packers have tall receivers? Didn't think so.
that bit about Rodgers being flummoxed by underneath zones is true, at least if you can believe the Playbook crew, it is. I don't think it's too much of a stretch to say that, because of that fact, Rodgers is looking forward to playing a blitzing man to man D.
While the Chargers have real talent on O, I would not compare them to a team like GB so much. SD has a mediocre at best CS. I would not say that about GB. What I am looking forward to on this game is if as all indications seem to be the Jets will finally have a healthy and ready Revis, this will be the first game we will see a lot of man coverage on both the opponent's 1 and 2 wideouts. I also see that Driver did not participate in practice. Rodgers may look at his TE even with Finley out since I see that he's willing and able to throw to all three of the others. Even if Driver is limited I also see that both Jones and Nelson are getting the ball somewhat. They could still field three decent wideouts even if Driver is not out there. I would not say the Pack has as talented a receiver corps as some. Like the Ravens have more talent. But they do seem to have enough decent receivers that the Jet defenders other than Revis and Cro are definitely going to see the ball thrown their way.
That doesn't address the fact that there receivers are not as tall as the San Diego receivers. From a matchup perspective, here's how I would like to see it. I am confident that 24 is in fact 100%. Everything we've heard this week sounds much more confident that he is, from the timing to the tone of voice. Jennings - Revis Jones - Cromartie Driver - Lowery/Coleman Lee - Wilson I think that would give us our best matchups.
