With the reputation that AMC has gained in the past couple of years with Mad Men and Breaking Bad.. I'm excited with just the idea of this show
Halloween season premiere! The trailer looks amazing i cannot wait http://www.amctv.com/originals/The-...27333001&bclid=88963904001&bctid=593569611001
My wife and I got married on Halloween of '08. We are going to make seeing this show a mandatory part of our Anniversary. SOOOOO psyched to see it. I have complete faith in Darabont.
@poniewozik: Frank Darabont on "R-rated" #walkingdead for AMC: "We're going to make [Breaking Bad] look like pussies." #nycc
Hahahahaha...it's supposed to be gory as shit. Breaking Bad has had some pretty violent episodes for a cable show. This will be awesome.
The pilot is online already. I planned on getting plenty of sleep tonight, but I couldn't NOT watch this. It was fucking awesome. That is all.
Oh, Shit! Do you have a link? I hate to jump the gun, and watch it with inferior image quality, but I just can't wait.
The main character in walking dead is a british actor called Andrew Lincoln who is best known over here for playing the character Egg in the series This Life (about a group of twenty something lawyers that was a big hit over here in the 90's). The makeup is done by Greg nictero and looks amazing from the shots I have seen to date
I think he was a great choice for the role. He really seems to have the look of the character from the comics. What little I've seen of the trailers, I think he's going to be awesome overall. Somewhat related question: When a British actor takes an American role, do you think they prefer a Southern accent? Is it an easier accent to pull off than say, a Mid-western one?
I would guess the southern accent is one of the easier ones to adopt as its so strong but I am certainly not an authority on this! From a UK perspective the only US accents most people would know would be: - New York cabbie style accent - Generic "Friends" style American accent - New York Sopranos style fake italian accent (budda bing etc) - Southern Patriarch Big Daddy type accent - Bill & Teds surfer dude accent - Christopher Walken. edit: there is a good interview in this months SFX magazine in the UK about this series - take a look at a copy in your local Borders or whatever if interested.
hook another brotha up man... As long as its a streaming link though...Dont feel like downloading the video
Seriously, holy fuck! I couldn't resist watching early. It went above and beyond what I was expecting. The gore factor was Rated R+. Extremely brutal zombie killing and carnage. You will not be disappointed!
just saw the first episode... Its one of the finest pilots I have ever seen. This show will be massively popular
Quoted for Trillf Trillf. I love that this pilot had such strength. Having read/reading the comic, I know some of the best shit is yet to come. So, knowing this is just the beginning of something special -- Fugg yeah!
