Your point? If the Giants keep winning then of course there'll be a debate about which team is better. The Jets may be better right now, but they're one bad game away from the Giants taking over. That's the reality of the situation.
Why would it not be possible? Saying that MHO you are way, way, way ahead of yourself as a lot of things can still occur between this coming Sunday & the last the game of the year (just see Romo & Favre). I would bookmark this thread & bring it back after we & the NYGs make the POs :jets:
All I'll say is this: I think the Giants are the best team in the NFC. They have no weaknesses, except for possibly special teams.
As a Giant fan I am not even thinking about the Super Bowl at this point. This team is going to have to clean up its complete disregard for the football and the offensive coordinator has to start realizing hes not in Houston anymore with Warren Moon, Ernest Givens, Tony Hill and Haywood Jeffries. Hey maybe your head coach can knock him out like his dad did? Giants are playing well, but they must stop these tipped passes becoming ints and fumbles. They do that and yes they have a shot to go far, keep this crap up and it will get ugly as it gets colder.
Too early but how awesome would it be if the Cowboys ended up with the #1 overall pick (meaning they were the worst team in the NFL) and there were 2 NY teams playing for the title in their building?
I'd say turnovers are a huge weakness for them. Even tho they won convincingly they turned it over 5 times.
God damn it! Don't you know that these stupid Subway Superbowl predictions are always the kiss of death for our season??
I say Atlanta is better, they have scored nearly as much and have allowed 20 less points. Atlanta is plus in turnovers while the Giants are -5, if the Giants played some good teams they would expose that. That being said, I think it will eventually come down to the Eagles and the Falcons for the NFC. Packers have too many injuries and the Vikings, well Favre is finally looking his age.
Who cares Don? Are you serious? I am pretty sure the area would know who won when they see Rex holding up the Lombardi and passing it to Sanchez.
I dont know if its a foregone conclusion that the Giants will win their division. Don't sleep on the Eagles. It wouldnt shock me if they won the NFC East. Im not all that impressed with the Giants.
I'd say turnovers are a problem too, but otherwise, I agree. The Giants are the best team in the NFC.
just like many overreacted to the Giants earlier losses, now everyone's going the opposite direction and overreacting to their wins. The NFC is weak right now, so the Giants easily might be considered tops in that conference, but that doesn't hide the fact that they play some of the ugliest, most error filled football games. Their d line is awesome, but the rest of the team runs very hot and cold, from Eli, to the receivers, running backs specials etc. All that said, and even though it's very early, I would concede that the Giants have a much easier road to the Super bowl than the Jets do at this moment.
