I hope you dont mind my long winded answer to your question. I am sure it is what you want to hear. He is an inactive bust.
Why is he a tub of lard?...our O line is TOPS in the league, he is in line to take over a spot most likely next year & he's learning from the very best in Callahan. Remember this guy came out of a small Div.1-AA school you've got to crawl before you can walk. Ask this same question in 2 yrs.
Brian Jackson was unable to fulfill his obligations as King Ugly, so Vlad has assumed the duties. I think he was speaking this week at a mall in Tulsa to raise awareness about Elephantiasis. Or he's been inactive. One of those two.
Well he is a bust from the point of view of where he was drafted. I would expect a 2nd round pick to be able to start right away, but clearly he is not capable of doing that. Fortunately Slauson so far has done a solid job and seems to be only getting better... I don't know if we'll even need to replace Slauson if he keeps this up. My guess is that they might entertain the idea of Ducase playing RT since I think Woody might not have much left in the tank... but who knows if the rook can handle that.
Look at him, the dude even looks retarded. I can hear him asking Schotty, " Is my glove on right?" I hope the Jets cut him now.
He's what they would call...."a project". They took a gamble on a huge bodied small school guy. It might take some time to teach him football, he's very new to the game.
Ducasse will not replace Slausen he'll most likely replace Woody next year. He'll be fine just give him time to get acclimated
I think he will play football but with Slauson playing very well at the moment, let him sit till we move him.
Mmm... option 1) So much hatred on Ducasse! option 2) So much sarcasm I'm not getting on Ducasse! The guy is a project. Hunter and Turner have been the 6th and 7th OL for a couple of years and they know how to do their jobs so no reason to have Ducasse active on game day. I hope they're trying to develop him as a RT. I think that's where his future lies... or if they decide he's a G only I hope they're grooming him as the eventual successor of Moore. The worst case scenario imo is he eventually takes Hunter place as the 6th OL coming in on run plays only. He'll have his place on this team.. right now give him a year to make the small college - NFL transition at a position that's a lot more technical to learn than others.
My thinking is Ducasse will replace Woody at RT next season and the Jets will attempt to sign or draft a bigger and more talented lineman to replace Slauson. Or they may possibly put Ducasse at LG and replace Woody with a newcomer, depending on the talent available.
