When a QB realizes one of his receivers has 1-on-1 coverage and his man has beaten the defender, throwing a deep ball to lead him is not the hardest throw in the world to make. It's not a timing play that requires the receiver to break his route at at an exact moment that can be thrown off by the defender. You see the receiver has a step and you just throw the ball up and let the receiver run it down. I'm not calling this a high percentage play but it should be something we should be able to take advantage of on a somewhat regular basis with the kind of running game and receiving threats we have.
So we are going to judge Sanchise on one pass lol. Forget about all his dumb plays lets judge Sanchise on one pass to a wide open receiver.
You're right. Close the thread. Let the dick-sucking resume. I believe you had Sanchez' left testicle? You may continue.
The only way you could possibly think like this is if you only watch highlights of every other game or if you play madden a lot. If it was so easy to hit guys in stride when they have 1 on 1 coverage the Jets defense would give up 500 yards per game.
At least I'm not letting my mother get a dirty Sanchez from my favorite team's QB. Not only did you let her, you paid Mark to do it.
Simple. We're Superbowl bound, remember? We're the "team to beat" in the AFC in some circles, and second-year Sanchez is our QB. Not to mention he's behind a #1 O-line with pro-bowl WRs. The expectations are off the charts I'm afraid.
You still haven't explained why a deep post or out and up in the same situation aren't acceptable to satisfying your needs. What is the fundamental difference?
I've watched every play of every game. Since Sanchez has been our starting QB. I'm not even saying he should be hitting them in stride all the time. I'm saying give your receiver a chance to make a play on the ball. Right now he's not doing that.
If either of those routes consist of Sanchez showing the ability to throw the ball 50+ yards in the air then I'd be plenty satisfied. Big plays should be part of an offense with the weapons we have.
So you want style points? We are 3rd in the league in PPG behind only the Pats and Colts. Sanchez has hit deep passes for TD's that were big plays. The problem that you have is that the ball didn't travel far enough in the air? I guess I see what you want now, but I don't understand why it's even necessary. I'd be willing to bet we do see him hit that type of play before the season ends, but why it's necessary is beyond me.
He's made that kind of throw before, so we already know he can do it. There's no reason to force the ball deep.
Have we had a single passing play over 50 yards other than the play in the Miami game where the defender on Braylon just fell down and allowed him to run basically 50+ yards on the ground into the endzone? I'm legitimately asking because I can't personally remember if we've had one.
