On the road in a hostile environment, in a short week, in a game where it seemed like the officials bet on the Broncos, turned the ball over 3 times and losing by 3 late in the game……..yet......we still won.....That says something about the type of team we have.
Orange Out, onside kick, Tebow wildcat...they pulled out all the stops as Sanchez said in the post game.
It also says a lot about the Broncos. We used to be that way once. But you are 100% correct. This team has heart and is finding ways to get it done. How awesome is this team under Rex?
Not to mention the troubles we frequently have with Denver. Hell, even at home, we had that brutal loss 2 years ago. The lone benefit was Peyton Hillis rushing for over a hundred yards, ensuring that I'd pick him up ahead of his emergence this season in fantasy.
When do you ever win a road NFL game when you have 3 turnovers, the other team recovers an onside kick and the refs are basically raping you?
this is about as huge a culture shift as I've seen for the Jets. I still feel like yesterdays game didn't happen
Except for the refs bit I agree. Tough week, Denver put it all out there, not a game we usually win. An AFC road win, in reality much bigger game than the Vikings despite the hype of Favre and MNF.
They took the Broncos absolute best shot and played pretty mediocre for the entire game. In the end the Jets still came out on top and that's what a good team does. We all watched the Pats play games like this all the way to 3 superbowl wins. This is how championship teams become championship teams.
A couple of years ago I would have bet money that Denver would have taken it straight down the field on that last drive and won it with a touchdown. Whatever has happened, there is a whole new feeling about this team and I love it!!
What makes me very freakin giddy is that after a bad game, our QB still drove the field at the end of the game and put that sucker over the GL, one way or another. Denver crossed us up, going with a 4-3, and we weren't ready for it. The refs seemed to be Bronco fans. We still won. Good teams find a way to win. We found a way to win.
Great teams win close games. Not saying we will be superbowl champs but we are a great (i.e. top 3 in the league) team
Look at Dallas. They seem to out gain their opponent in yards by a wide margin every week but they keep losing. They're just as talented as the Jets yet they find ways to lose and we find ways to win.
A short week AND a trip to a different time zone. Double the fun! I'm really impressed with how sharp they looked given the circumstances. Wasn't their cleanest game of the season, but they found a way to win, which is more than what we could've said in previous years.
