Try Cleveland. Apparently, James Harrison has an exception that allows him to lead with his helmet at will.
I thought they called it tight both ways, too tight. It hurt us along the way but saved us in the end, so who knows? That's why you can't worry about officiating.
This wasn't even our worst officiated game of the season. All these calls that went against us the Jets had the chance to rebound from as they didn't have a devastating effect on the outcome. The Baltimore game not only took us out of our game but the biggest call of the game handed the Ravens their only TD. Throw in there was no "hitting a defenseless receiver when murder hit Keller. The official holding the down marker a yard short of the 1st down in the 4th q. All the questionable PI calls against Wilson and Cro in huge spots. As bad as we played in that game a better officiated game and we win.
And you probably just summed up why the Jets will never win another SB. They just won't allow it to happen.
In the Ravens game pretty much all the penalties were earned. In this game there were just a bunch of phantom calls that left me scratching my head. It was the worst officiated Jets game I can ever remember watching. Until we got the call at the end, that was actually a penalty and a correct call, I thought for SURE the fix was in. There were just too many non-penalties called penalties against the Jets to make any sense of it.
The call on the Gaffney catch just summed up the game. Two terrible calls on o pass int against Keller and Holmes early. I believe there were 3 called, usually u see 3 all season for a team! Cromarties apparent PI in which he makes a great play on the ball. Im missing a few more I'm sure but we got the most imprtant call when it counted atleast. They made the right call on the Holmes play.
If the ref's were trying to put the fix in the P.I. on Holmes would have been ignored and the ref would have said he didn't get a good look at the play from his angle. The ref's sucked but there is no way they would have put that much effort into fixing a game only to fuck it up with a minute left.
Anyone who has ever read my posts (which I'm pretty sure is just me) knows that I have a serious hate for refs. Yesterday was just mind-blowing. I wont say they were fixing for Denver, but they were definitely anti-Jets, trying to make us lose wherever possible. And this is the worst part. Nothing will happen to them. And even worse is that the players and coaches can't speak out. Really shitty system. The league should apologize to the Jets for yesterday!
What a joke Get a clue The officials give you the game and you still complain. Ahhh if you weren't the Jets, you would have had 10-15 PI calls. How about just thanking Goddell for the con job and the victory.
the PI call on Hill was legit......anybody with an iota of football intelligence will understand that.
I can see why you're so angry. You live in the town of the Terrible Towel, and you're worrying about Terrible drapes...
Please explain how the refs "gave" the Jets anything. Was he supposed to look the other way while the Broncos safety ripped Holmes head sideways with the ball in the air? gtfoh with your bullshit.
You are such a fucking trolll.. YOU GET A FUCKING CLUE DUMBDICK. Did you watch the game? IT WAS A CLEAR PASS INTERFEARENCE ON SANTONIO! GOOD teams win even when being called against all game! FUCK YOU, and the Pats.
There is no explanation, it's trolling. It'd be like me going to a Pats board and say that the refs handed them a 1st down on 3rd and 20 something in the 4th quarter yesterday.
i don't mind the refs calling actual penalties - see the Ravens game where they deserved the calls - but yesterday was awful. I don't recall seeing a crew make so many phantom calls in my life. On the leonard personal foul - which was awful - they screwed up the replay review. They came back with the receiver had two feet down..but the review should have been maintaining possession while going to the ground which he failed to do. It's like they didn't know the rules.
