Agree, winning on the road in the NFL is tough. Years ago going into Denver was a death sentence for a visiting team. Mile High Stadium was a huge advantage .....John Elway, the Orange Crush.....it was an assured "L" for a visiting team.
I couldn't agree more. This is the type of game that championship contenders find a way to win. This is the game the Colts have won over and over again all of these years. This is the game the Patriots have won over and over again all of these years. This is the type of game that will make the difference between being 9-7/10-6 and being 12-4/13-3. This was a BIGTIME win.
Any win is great but they really didn't play well. The fact that Denver ran on them like that wasn't good. And i'm glad Rex admitted the D hasn't played as well as last season, it hasn't.
I totally agree. They were HYPED for this game and gave it their all. We weathered the storm - albeit barely - and won. Great win.
Could the refs have just called the facemas- erm no because that would be pass interference in that situation since thats where the ball was going. aka good call, not an ugly win, unless you count their center blowing their possible last minute drive.
Over at Broncos forums they are shitting all over Orton. Despite the fumble at the end Orton handled the Jets' pressure really well. I thought he was solid.
Very well said. I was thinking the same thing. Denver is a tough place to play, and we're coming off a tough, tough Monday night game. That they pulled off a win shows that this is a very disciplined team. There is still too many penalties, even though many of those penalties were total bullshit calls today, but this team does not lack discipline or toughness in any way. And it's all on Rex. He is the man.
Its a good win and Orton was laughing on the bench with the Jets had 4th and six and I thought Wait until after the next play before you start laughing. Guess who had the last laugh...
from Sanchez postgame conference comments, it seem like the Broncos changed their whole style this week It seem like the Jets weren't ready for what they saw today At least that what he's saying
It was indeed an ugly win. Sanchez was medicore and he can not play that way if the Jets are truly going to contend for the Super Bowl. As for the refs, I disagree with Jets fans that may think we got robbed and idiots from ESPN like TJ who think the call at the end decided the game - I think it's a wash. Bad Pass Interference against Cromartie + Bad Unnecessary Roughness against Leonhard = Questionable Crunch Time Pass Interference against the Donkeys.
yeah, they're a reactionary bunch, just like every fanbase out there....do they really want Tebow starting though??
Shotty almost blew this 1... calling runs up the gut on consecutive 2nd downs on the last drive down by 7... wtf?
