I hope this team isn't looking past the Broncos thinking this game is a gimme. They have one of the best passing offenses in the league, I know the rest of their team isn't so hot but their playing @ home & that should be good for @ least 10pts. Our pass defense has been porous allowing numerous 1st downs on 3rd & long & that has to stop. I'm hoping Mark isn't feeling the pressure to NOT throw a pick, just play the game & have fun. I want us to get our act together & play a FULL 60mins of what Rex likes to call JET football.
Lets get it over with so we don't have to keep having a thread like such resurface every week. I hope the Jets dont overlook any team in the NFL, no matter how good or bad.
I think they are focused on going into the bye on a good note. I don't think that will mean they are thinking about the bye.
I don't think any of these guys want to go into a bye with a loss & have to wait 2 weeks to get back on the field
Only if we stop the 10 different SOJ/ZOMG FIRE SCHOTTY/I NEED TO KILL MYSELF!!!!!11!!!! threads after every loss.
The title was very misleading...I thought you were just going to shit on Denver. And no...Rex has this team focused on the kill, as most said they want to go into the bye week on a high.
If they can beat Denver then I think it will only look up from there. I think the bye week is very badly needed for a few reasons. With the bye and assuming Revis doesn't play this week, he will have 2 weeks to let his leg heal. The secondary should have another week to get on the same page and fix the miscommunication problem. Sanchez will have another week to practice with Holmes and improve his chemistry with him. Lingering things like Mangolds shoulder and Taylors arm should feel better after the bye. Lets hope Jets get the 5-1 and that would be an amazing start.
Folks, Just so you know, I have already heard a few of the so called "experts" predicting the Jets will stumble in Denver. Many of them see the Jets having a let down after a very tough win on MNF. Here in sunny southern Fla, home of the Fins and Buc's, most of the local sports buttheads still see the Fins as a better team then the Jets. To hear some of them talk, it's just a matter of time before the Jets " house of cards " crumbles or all the smoke and mirrors that the Jets are wining with, disappears. One thing for certain, how games like this, Bill's, Bronco's, and the like, are either won or lost, will tell us a great deal about the coaching staff and there ability to keep the team focused.
The Buffalo game was the consummate bump in the road type of game, and we blew through it with flying colors. Win or lose this week, it won't be because we overlooked this team...
I think the Broncos either win a close one, or else the Jets just beat the hell out of them all game. It all really hinges on how well Kyle Orton responds to the pressure, IMO. If I was putting money on this game, I'd bet big on the Jets. However, I wouldn't be too shocked if they got exposed in the secondary by Kyle Orton. McDaniels may have fucked almost everything else up in Denver, but it seems he has his quarterback.
I havn't heard any South Florida media say that. The Jets are clearly superior to Miami. At this point it's not even an argument. You're only as good as your last at bat, and Miami has had 2 bad ones in a row. Jets on the other side, have had 4 good ones in a row.
