EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- Brett Favre's latest problem is his elbow.

Mike & Mike in the Morning
ESPN NFL analyst Jon Gruden says Vikings QB Brett Favre looks like he's not having any fun because he isn't. Favre's arm hurts and his team has a ton of injuries.

Favre said Wednesday he would consider sitting out a game or two for the Minnesota Vikings this season if the tendinitis in his right elbow gets worse. Favre has started an NFL record 288 straight games, a streak he cherishes.

The 41-year-old quarterback also is the subject of an NFL investigation into allegations that he sent racy messages and lewd photos to a game-day hostess in 2008 while both worked for the New York Jets.

Favre again sidestepped questions about the matter on Wednesday during his weekly news conference. He says he's focused solely on helping the Vikings come back from a 1-3 start.

Yeah right, he just wants everyone to know his elbow is hurting so he has another excuse when he screws up. He always has an excuse handy yet he wants us to praise him for the streak.

I'll believe it when I see it.

I Belive this will truly be Favre's last year. All he is doing is Tarnishing his name. He was a Cinderella Story Last year, but all story's have an end.

The lousy old pervert will start no matter what.
The Favre worshipers at ESPN will squeal about how heroic he is, playing thru pain, etc.
It's disgusting how they lick Favre's butt.

It's ridiculous. All through the first half "oh he's hurt, that's clearly not him" and in the second half "there's that old Favre magic!". He was fine the Jets D just kicked his ass in the first half

Oh and there's no way he sits out

I'll believe he is sitting out when Minnesota goes three and out with him on the sideline on their first possession of a game.

I think his streak means too much to him to sit if he can throw a ball at all. We certainly saw him throw the ball as the game wore on Monday night.

This is just more drama to let everyone know just how tough Brent Farve is.

Hell will freeze over before this guy sits. He'll play through it to the detriment of his team, because the whole thing is all about Brett.

this guy has really, really, REALLY tarnished his career. There was a time, a long time actually, where he was one of the most popular/revered players in the league. I'd say it's sad, but, FUCK HIM.

It's funny you say that. The way he was favoring his elbow looked like something out of professional wrestling. That's what it reminded me of anyway.

    That's good. :rofl2:

The Favre drama is like something out of Pro Rasslin.
Favre should wear a mask and call himself The Great Favre from Parts Unknown.
The ESPN guys would eat it up.

I'm not buying it. He's just trying to change the topic of conversation. I don't want people talking about my personal life scandal, so I'll change the topic so the story will now be about my elbow. Give me a break. To think I use to love this guy ( though in the interest of full disclosure I still think he's an attractive older man) *giggle* Though I wish I hadn't seen his tiny penis. He lost some serious points there.

he won't sit, he'll start for the streak, play the first series or two, and come out, so the streak is maintained. he'll say the rest helped, he'll rest all week in practice, and feel good enough to start the next week.

I've developed a strong dislike for Favre and the Vikings over the last couple of years.
I'm sick of hearing the ESPN cheerleaders talking about Favre, Adrian Peterson, Randy Moss etc.

In fact, for the first time in my life, I find myself in the awkward position of actually rooting for the Cowboys to win a game.

It's pretty obvious Favre will go out no matter what til he reaches 300 consecutive starts. If he finishes the season out, he'll be at 301. Then he'll retire.
