Michael Irvin just called us the best team in the league through the first 4 games of the season AND said LT is the MVP through the first four weeks of the league.
Michael Irvin is an idiot. I love watching LT right now but he isn't even the MVP of the Jets through 4 weeks.
I hope they make a trophy for that. It'll look great in the case next to our "Off-season 2010 Champions" trophy.
I think we are getting better and better each week and when all our guys are healthy and on the field together,LOOK OUT!
Can LT be in the hunt for the comeback player award? He had his worst season last year and is having one of his best season this year in a hall of fame resume.
Who would have thought that Sanchez and Vick are the only starting QBs to not throw a pick through 4 games??
Vick - no way. He has played 2.5 games, showed some skills against two of the worst passing defenses in football, and got hurt in the biggest game of the first 4.
Exactly. I am excited about the start, but it's a long way to go. Good thing we're adding three awesome players in the coming weeks.
WAIT!!! You forgot to say where and when he said it! Michael Irvin called us the best team in football on LOCAL DOLPHINS RADIO DOWN IN FLORIDA! 560 WQAM!! Classic stuff! Dolphins fans are losing it! Listen live here. http://www.wqam.com/streamer/index.php?displaystreamer=true
i'm not sure you can call LT a front runner for comeback player of the year, unless he ends up with an absolute monster season (like 1500+ yards and/or 15+ tds). the guy still had 12 touchdowns and close to a 1,000 total yards last year. i know he was dealing with injuries and his numbers were down compared to prior years, but he was still a decently productive back last year. that being said, i think LT has had an incredible start to the year, i just dont think you can call him comeback player of the year based on the definition of the award, unless he really "comes back" to his MVP-like numbers of 2006ish. i think if vick doesn't miss too many games and ends up leading the eagles to even playoff contention, he is a no brainer. welker is also a front runner based on the severity of his injury and how quickly he recovered. also, urlacher will get strong consideration based on that he missed all of 2009 and the bears are 3-1.
