Henne had alot of time to find an open receiver last night. Is the miami OL that good or was our pass rush lacking?
Miami had a starter out on the oline, but to answer your question, Miami has what most consider a top 3 offensive line. Oddly enough, the three (good) afc east teams are widel considered the class of the Nfl's olines.
Checking in to take my beating. My second year in a row predicting a low scoring game due to a hard defensive battle. WRONG AGAIN. I really did not think you guys were going to be able to throw it on our D even less run it the way you did. Some points from the game: 1. You out coached us big time. Lets face it, your coaches called the game of their life. 2. Sanchez made the plays he had to make and was commanding the offense well. Also got rid of the ball quickly when he had to. Can't beat that. 3. Keller is basically a #1 receiver out there. I'm so damn jealous. In conclusion, we were in position to win this game, but i'm not delusional, WE DID NOT BLOW IT, The jets stopped us. They were the better team last night in all aspects. Now onto game 2, anyone have a warm fuzzy feeling about that one? Are you worried about yet? I know I am.
Imo you beat us in every facet of the game, including coaching, and physicality, very dissapointing loss in year 3. Sanchez has excellent ball handling skills, and feet..his feet usually get him into very good position to deliver the football, His feet were so good coming out of college its one of reason's why I had him becoming a good QB in the pro's. You are the better team.
No they didn't. Sanchez won the game for the Jets. Also, it is clear now the coaching staff restricted him in our first game... You should be more worried about your terrible rushing offense, your strong suit. 84 yards rushing - 3.7 a carry versus the Jets last night.
To each their own. But i'd like to ask you something. When you get down by 14 pts in a game, how do you come back? By running the ball or by torching your D for 350+ yards?
I am sort of concerned about what the other teams the Dolphins threw at Henne because he couldn't do anything against the other opponents. The Jets, even without Revis, are supposed to have a strong secondary and Henne tore them apart. Also, Henne made some excellent accurate throws especially on 3rd down.
The Jets did the same to your defense too? From what I was hearing from the Miami fans the week before the game, they had the better defense...plus they were at full strength in terms of "stars". I'm pretty sure if Revis covered Marshall at full health, Hartline, covered by Cromartie, would have been non existent.
Henne was cuffed for the first two games much like Sanchez was against the Ravens. This is the first time where the OC truly opened up the playbook and henne showed the ability. However, if you knew anything about the dolphins then it shouldn't come as a surprise that Henne was able to torch your secondary in the manner that he did.
Excuse me but I don't recall saying we had a #1 defense. I'm pretty sure The Jets are the ones holding on to that title and defending it this year yet again.
Henne did a great job, I can't deny that. But please explain above? What am I supposed to be privy to that it wouldn't come as a surprise to me that Henne played well? I know about Brandon Marshall, arguably one of the top 5 receivers in the game, I know Parcells quit because he was disappointed in Henne's progression, I know they targeted an obvious weak spot in the defense (which they should)...AND up until last night, Henne did nothing...so how am I not supposed to be surprised?
Also, listening to Mangold's interview on 1050 AM on Friday...he said he was concerned about the humidity @ night in Miami. The defense was clearly gassed through the 2nd quarter and 3rd quarter when Miami had the ball a lot. It explains a lot to me.
By watching Dolphins games last year? DUH! I give credit when it's due, even when talking about the Jets.
From my recollection the wild cat offense and your special teams won those games. But you worry about last year, I'll worry about my 2-0 in division record this year. I guess it's cool to take positives out of a home game loss in which you were favored. *shrug*
Dolphins didn't really blow this game. Instead, I'd say that they were just "not as good." Pash rush was better than the Jets. D line did a good job of stopping the run early. O-line did a good job protecting. Wildcat seemed to work somewhat. WR's and QB were totally in sync. I wouldn't feel terrible Monday morning if I'm a Dolphins fan. It wasn't like the goose-egg our "O" laid in week 1.
