Cleveland Browns vs. Baltimore Ravens – Ravens lead the series 15-7.

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Carolina Panthers – Jimmy Clausen will be making his first start. Chad Ochocinco needs one more TD reception to become the Bengals All-time leader.

Dallas Cowboys vs. Houston Texans – Houston is looking to go 3-0 for the first time in franchise history while Dallas is looking to avoid their first 0-3 start since 2001. Houston got their first victory in franchise history in the opening week of 2002 against the Cowboys.

San Francisco 49ers vs. Kansas City Chiefs – (The Joe Montana Bowl). The 49ers lead the all time series 6-4 but have lost the last 3 times they’ve played in KC.

Detroit Lions vs. Minnesota Vikings – The Vikings are in a desperate situation as one of two 2009 playoff teams to start the season 0-2 (Dallas). Detroit currently has lost 21 straight road games which is 4th all time in NFL History.

Buffalo Bills vs. New England Patriots – The Patriots have defeated the Bills 13 straight times since losing to them 31-0 in the 2003 season opener – just a few days after releasing Lawyer Milloy who went on to sign with the Bills. This streak is the 4th longest in NFL History (The Bills lost 20 straight against the Dolphins from 1970-79 which is the NFL record).

Atlanta Falcons vs. New Orleans Saints – The Falcons lead the all time series 44-37.

Tennessee Titans vs. New York Giants – First meeting between these two opponents since the 2006 match up where the Titans came back from 21 down to win 24-21 scoring all 24 points in the 4th quarter. The most memorable play was when Mathias Kiwanuka had Vince Young sacked but let him go and Young scrambled for a 19-yard gain.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – The two most unlikely 2-0 teams in the NFL. The Steelers lead the All-Time series 7-1. These two teams nearly met in Super Bowl XIV – The Buccaneers lost to the Los Angeles Rams 9-0 in the NFC Championship Game.

    4:00
Philadelphia Eagles vs. Jacksonville Jaguars – The Eagles have never defeated the Jaguars (0-3). It’ll be interesting to see if Michael Vick has a big day running or throwing. Jacksonville has given up 315 YPG thru the air but play in a man-to-man coverage style defense which could leave the defenders down field covering receivers while Vick is running with the ball.

Washington Redskins vs. St. Louis Rams – The Redskins have dominated the All Time series against the Rams 21-8-1 but lost to them in the 1945 NFL Championship Game 15-14 in a game where Sammy Baugh threw a pass that hit the goalpost – which in those days resulted in a safety.

Oakland Raiders vs. Arizona Cardinals – Both teams’ lone victories in 2010 have come against the Rams.

Indianapolis Colts vs. Denver Broncos – The Broncos lead the All-Time series 11-7 (Colts are 2-0 in the postseason) but the Colts have a 7-2 advantage in the Peyton Manning era.

San Diego Chargers vs. Seattle Seahawks – Mike Tolbert will start in the place of injured Ryan Matthews. Philip Rivers has thrown a TD pass in 15 straight games and tied John Hadl for second most 300 yard games in Chargers History behind Dan Fouts’ 51 – when he passed for 334 yards last week against the Jaguars. Seattle leads the all time series 25-23.

    Monday September 27, 2010

    8:30
Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears – Da Bears will be wearing 1940 throwback uniforms to celebrate the 1940 NFL Championship Team that defeated the Washington Redskins 73-0. The Bears lead the NFL’s oldest rivalry 91-82-6.

I have made my predictions in the pool for this week; currently I stand at 16/32 in the first two weeks, meaning that my football prediction skills are on a par with a monkey randomly hitting one of two buttons.
