He was at the SC-GA game Saturday, hanging out with his old teammates. One was interviewed on local news and he couldn't understand. Kenny smiled all the time, was upbeat, just acted like he always did. He was third all time in receiving in SEC history. And he left behind a young son, just a little kid with no daddy. So yes, as much as I liked him as a fan, and feel bad about this tragedy...you don't do that to your child. That's all I will say about what Moose already said.
Just fucking sad. Anyone know if this guy had any history of concussions or anything like that? There was a big write up about a player for UPenn who died in the Times last week, the guy who had no history of depression or anything like that but it basically suggested that there is a possible link between head trauma and sudden emotional breakdowns that lead to suicide. Of course plenty of non athletes who never had any concussion any displayed obvious signs of depression have done this. Depression is such an awful disease...more people succumb to this fate than I think a lot of us realize. RIP, such a tragedy.
K-Mac was one of the best players to ever put on a Gamecock uniform. This is really shocking. Rest in Peace.
Cool, thanks that is about the worst mistake I have seen.....After I pointed out the mistake, it just didn't look right in a thread about a player dying....I don't like poking fun @ stuff in these type of threads............ The player it listed was Darren McFadden.
It's a shame that he was never able to find the help he obviously needed. We can all point to how much he had going for him, but we have no idea what was going on with him psychologically.
RIP dude. Watched his highlight reel last night, it's a shame he got injured, had a promising future.
Apparently a pillow was used to muffle the gunshot; I haven't heard of many suicides carried out that way.. R.I.P. Kenny - if there was foul play involved, I hope they find whoever is responsible. I won't hold my breath though.
