I was warned by security (section 117) that I needed to sit down because people behind me couldn't see. I told the guy, respectfully, "no" and that when everyone else in the stadium sat down, I would too. We were on Defense too. I told him this was a football game that what people do...... Anyone else ever see this happen????
That's pretty gay. I hope he was just a new guy and this isn't an actual rule. You should have told him who you were and pecker slapped him.
I sat downstairs near the 30 yd line last week and we sotod most of the game, yesterday the section wasn't standing as much but it certainly wasn't frowned upon.
Some dude that looked like DJ Pauly D was standing the whole time in my section. But he was a blast, haha.
I had the same experience...row 5, corner Mezz. I was told to sit down numerous times. I'm sorry, but 3rd and 9, and we need a big stop, I'm going to stand and cheer. That's just what I do! I looked over during one 3rd down, and two retards are sharing a Mrs. Fields cookie. WTF????!!!!!! This stadium has brought us a new style of fan, like it or not.
Some guy (he was a "jets" fan cause he had a jets jersey on) actually asked me what number mark sanchez was. wtf?
Anyone else annoyed at how the big boards, asking for "quiet" didn't go into "live" view of the play until after the ball was snapped?
im in 108 and had someone say it to me during the ravens game. no problems this week. i guess they just say it as a courtesy to the douche who complains. ignore it and do your thing
no, because i know there are some retards that don't know how to stop clapping when we're on offense.
I haven't been to the new stadium, but I was told to sit down all the time at the old one. Very lame.
to me, this has been the bigger issue. i stand up and try and quiet my stupid section every time we are on offense. these new psl yups are idiots man. have no idea how a football crowd works
Send an e-mail: http://www.newyorkjets.com/footer/contact-us.html If this team wants to establish a true home field advantage, they need to nip this in the bud. Can you imagine this at Arrowhead, Lambeau or Mile High?
I guess all those yuppies in the 100 sections want to use the seats they paid 20k for. In the upper deck, where seats are free, everyone was standing most of the game.
That's it in a nutshell. 99% of the upper deck are long time Jets fans who understand the game. Most of the lower level are people who are just out to enjoy a nice Sunday, won't be there in the cold and rain, and ask "Who is that nice fellow #6 who keeps throwing the football?"
OMG - I can't believe we actually needed a thread about this. Is this for real? The new "season ticket holders" are this ridiculously uninformed? Sad. Very sad. Sorry I couldn't afford PSLs and decided to dump the season tickets altogether.
I stand all the time, I'm considerate at the same time though. I do sit with the steerage upstairs so we may be able to get away with such atrocities..
