If this is the Tomlinson the Jets got, the one that ran with fire and passion on EVERY single touch today, then we are all in for a treat. I know LT has his own appreciation thread, but LT deserves another for today. He dove helmet first into the defender for a 1st down... On his jump over the line he took a helmet to helmet from a defender who led with the helmet (#25 on the Pats will be fined for that busch league shit) Kudos to you LT...played an excellent game.
Correction-if you're talking about the play I think you're talking about, he went all in head first between TWO defenders for the first ))))) He fucking came to play today. I loved how fiery he'd get when he made a play. Hopefully he stays healthy over the entire season, because LT still has it.
He's a warm weather warrior. Don't get me wrong he played a great game but the guy gets up and has a seizure every 5 yard plus run in week 1. I'm sure come wild card weekend he will sit on the bench with his helmet on barely moving, watch Sanchez try and play with broken ribs and a partically torn acl and then spend the post game complaining that the opponent was too obnoxious in their celebration at the end of the game.
Touche... still an unbelievable effort...I can't remember seeing this display of emotion by our players. Of course LT has a history of hating the Patriots just as much as the Jets fans do.
This is great all those talking heads who said losing Thomas Jones will hurt us can shove it. LT is a beast and looks to be huge weapon. This is also great because it keeps the carries low for Greene so he can continue doing damage late into the season.
He had another great game. I know one of his main criticisms at the Chargers was his lack of passion. He's definitely turned that around at the Jets.
If LT can give us the output he gave us today throughout the regular season I say good deal. We'll have a fresh legged Greene to ride us through the playoffs.
