If Pouha goes down our season is over. If the Jets got Haynesworth they'd probably play him at 3-4 RDE and 4-3 RDT. If Pouha went down they'd rotate Devito, Haynesworth and Green at NT and otherwise use Haynesworth as above. If Haynesworth thought that he could play NT well he wouldn't be bitching the way he is. He probably isn't going to be a good NT and there's no reason to try to force him in that slot. At 6'6" he really is kind of tall to be the guy who stands in the middle of the defense and keeps things together. There's a lot of him for people to latch onto in the double teams and move him out of the way and he's not one of those 6'6" 375 lb guys who just can't be moved short of a forklift.
I wonder what will happen when I use my time machine to go back and post this message any time before week 1 of this season....
Good point and thanks for reminding me. Bart Scott lined up @ Corner against Anquan (I think) on Monday, I was like FUCKKKKK, here comes a TD. I also remember Kris Jenkins lined up @ left end last year before he got injured.
read the edited part of my post, bolded above... Ellis had 6.5 and Harris had 5.5 sacks ranking 2nd and 3rd behind Pace last season. A sack opportunity will need to be created for Taylor (in the same vane as the backside CB blitz, cherry picking Sacks Kerry Rhodes got), I don't believe he will be able to create sacks on his own. He'll probably wind up with 5.
I love your Avatar. Is there a big version of it that I could save on my computer? Also, I don't see the 3-way trade happening. Way too much guaranteed money for Albert Haynesworth.
I don't really know much about the Haynesworth situation, except for the fact that he is very disgruntled in Washington and wants out. Is there anyway possible for the Jets to get him without that monstrous salary hit?
He is no doubt a talented douce, I wouldn't be against it as long as we don't give up more than a 5th. This video makes me never want him near the team: ...but then this video makes me want him today:
We are in the power position in this trade not the skins or chargers, so if it were to happen we should come out on top
Albert Haynesworth is a very talented football player who could really fill a roll on this team, if he playes up to his capiabilities. This being said, I find it hard to believe that Tanny and Rex would not do there do diligence, as far as what they would getting if they did this trade. This guy could be a real beast for the Jets even more so if he is having fun playing again. That is why so many players want to play for Rex, the man brings the fun back in to the game for many players who thought and found out when they got to this level, that the fun had gone out of the game. I know the man had issues in Washington, but let's face it, Mike S. is more like Mangini then Rex, and we all know now how the players really felt about Mangini.. Rex has a history of turning around unhappy, fringe, and unacheiving players , into monsters that put fear in to oppsing players. So now that our beloved Big Jenks is done, who BTW was seen by the Panters in the same light as Washington now see Albert, I say let them do there research talk to Fisher down in Tenn, and others that know this man. Let them get a good feel of who he really is. Talk to Haynesworth get his take on his present situation and what he thinks about a trade to the Jets and the role he would play in this defense. If they feel comfortable with the answers and the man himself then maybe we might get a player who could be another who Rex turned around, and one who causes D. Synder great greif and sleepless nights about what he could have had. Also kicking himself for passing on Rex to be his H.C. as well.... I trust Tanny and Rex to make the right move should this whole situation become available to the Jets. ..
The problem with Haynesworth is he's motivated one, maybe two days a week, and there is no guarantee one of those days is Sunday.
