Do you want him to say we'er fucked and this will not work? Maybe you should not listen to interviews if you don't want to hear him.
Yes, I do know that. I also know that I get sick of hearing the same old ra-ra BS "we need to look within ourselves", "we need to improve on this", "a lot of guys didnt show up today", "search for the hero inside yourself" etc etc come spilling out of the players mouths in a stream of meaningless platitudes - I would much prefer them to actually say something coherent and with substance.
I think everybody would prefer that, but with the way ESPN and other outlets over analyze every quote from players and coaches, it's usually best not to really say anything. A good example of this is Rex Ryan. He says what is on his mind, and he is constantly criticized by the media.
That is true. Its mostly just frustration talking, I (like most fans) think we have a great team this year and with a good/experienced QB behind the wheel we would certainly be contenders - as it stands (I know its only one game but preseason was awful as well) its not looking that good and you feel like its a wasted opportunity this year even though it (may) pay dividends down the road.
Hey, Sanchez is willing to go on 1050 after a game that he totally sucked in and say all the things that you'd like to hear him say at that point. I sucked. We sucked. We can fix it. I'm happy with that. Lots of second year franchise QB's would be in hiding right now on team orders after a loss like that. He's got some stones.
