1) Braylon Edwards running into the kicker on the 45 yard FG that would have left it 6-3 Jets with under a minute left before halftime. 2) The AWFUL DPI call on Wilson right after Braylon's running into the kicker penalty. 3) Braylon's illegal shift on the deep completion to Keller that would have set us up first and goal at the 4 yard line already up 3-0. 4) Shonn Greene's fumble on the play immediately following Cromartie's dazzling interception return to the Ravens 30 yard line with us already up 6-0 and threatening to take a commanding lead. 5) Dustin Keller's completely moronic and infuriating fourth down reception 1 yard short of the first down marker with the game on the line. (Just missed the cut: Cotchery's drop on 3rd and five from the Ravens 33 with us trailing 10-6 and threatening to punch it in and take the lead) let's hear your top 5 . . .
What the fuck is wrong with Keller... are you serious with that shit? How the fuck does he catch it and GO OUT OF BOUNDS SHORT OF THE FIRST DOWN ON A 4TH DOWN!?!?!? I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THAT
you pretty much nailed it the greene dropped pass on 2nd and 4 during the 2nd to last drive deserves a nomination. i'd rank the fumble much higher on the list, and same Dkeller play (unless you reserved the order. then you're on the money)
The amazing thing is, the more I think about it, the more I realize that if any of the first 4 happen differently, we very likely win the game. (ESPECIALLY 2-4)
1) Braylon Edwards running into the kicker on the 45 yard FG that would have left it 6-3 Jets with under a minute left before halftime (Bullshit call) 2) The AWFUL DPI call on Wilson right after Braylon's running into the kicker penalty. (Borderline call, overthrown anyway) 3) Braylon's illegal shift on the deep completion to Keller that would have set us up first and goal at the 4 yard line already up 3-0. (dumbfuck play) 4) Shonn Greene's fumble on the play immediately following Cromartie's dazzling interception return to the Ravens 30 yard line with us already up 6-0 and threatening to take a commanding lead. (someone get him some stickem) 5) Dustin Keller's completely moronic and infuriating fourth down reception 1 yard short of the first down marker with the game on the line. (Keller forgot what planet he was on, much less what down it was at what point in the game)
Oh, I wasn't ordering them at all. I was just listing the 5 most crucial ones, IMO. But you are entirely correct (and I should have put them in order) because Green's fumble EASILY is the number 1, IMO.
I never thought I'd say this but I think we already have lost a game this season that was more frustrating than either the Atlanta loss, buffalo loss, or second Miami loss from last season. incredible.
Kellers boneheaded play summed up the offence... head scratching. One through 4 play calling and execution. #5 any CB not wearing 24.
I also really liked when they took LT out after 2 very good runs, to put Greene in and throw to him. A pass which he promptly dropped. What good use of the personnel huh? It's like Shittenheimer just tries to be so cute and outsmart everyone.
the whole last posession was real embarressing too... what the fuck does a 6 yard completion in the MIDDLE of the field do for you with 50 seconds left? Sanchez and Shotty need to both grow some balls
1 Shonn Greens 2nd fumble 2 Shonn Greens 2nd fumble 3 Shonn Greens 2nd fumble 4 Shonn Greens 2nd fumble 5 Shonn Greens 2nd fumble The other stuff mentioned doesnt come close. There were some stupid penalties but ok that shit happens. But you dont fucking fumble the ball in field goal range in a close game where your offense sucks when you barely get fucking hit. And yeah Keller ran out of bounds but it was overthrown a little on him. Not to mention like 1 or 2 plays earlier the throw over the middle almost resulted in him end up in a fucking coma. Wilson got burnt covering a #1 WR in his first game ever, live with it the kids gonna learn. But having our #1 HB look completely fucking incompetent that the coaching staff decided to bench him for almost the entire second half. Completely unfuckingacceptable for the #1 rushing team in the nfl.
the first down marker was moved a yard back watch the replay. I saw it and noticed right away was screamingg. Rex said dustin mentioned it to him too during the interview
This one is the most excusable. Cundiff did everything right on that play. Edwards isn't a ST player, there's no way he could have known how to protect himself from that call.
How about the incomplete screen pass by Sanchez with about 40 seconds left and no timeouts on the final drive. That play had stupidity written all over it. Also, using up the final timeout with way too much time remaining. Also, calling a time out on 4th and 1 to...wait for it...kick a field goal...Jets were just not feeling it tonight in the Giants brand new ugly as a horse's ass stadium. By the way, do they give you telescopes so you can see the field?
