Why you guys weren't worried in the pre-season I don't know. But we're doing the exact same thing we did in the pre-season. That is, we cannot move the ball. *edit* The mods merged threads and edited the thread title to include Schottenheimer. While I think Schotty's play calling was bad I also blame Sanchez for checking down too much and not letting the plays develop. It was the ENTIRE offense, including our LG Slauson almost getting Sanchez killed, dropped balls and not knowing where the first down marker was - not just Schotty. Our offense is a mess.
The Ravens are an amazing defense, but the jets didn't try to establish a tone early. Things need to be fixed.

I am reminded of an episode of "Family Guy" where Peter and his friends decide to start a band. I don't know who's at fault....but i'll tell you this.....it's either Schotty or Sanchez. One of those guys isn't doing their job. Sanchez isn't a rookie anymore.....and shouldn't be treated as such....this is the fucking NFL, kid...time to earn that paycheck instead of fucking B-list actresses.
I'm more pissed with the defense. Those 3rd down and longs killed us. That is the reason they have held the ball so long.

I'm so pissed that I watched this game. I feel for those who have to drive home tonight. What a letdown. There are so many questions and not an answer in sight.
We threw the ball three times on 1st down prior to that last drive (one of which was nullified by penalty). There was no balance on 1st down. Why we didn't attack the Ravens secondary with all of the injuries is baffling to me
all this fucking pussy did was call run plays against a pretty stout run defense. then he'd finally call pass plays on 3rd and intermediates, 3rd and longs, and we'd either see a sack, or a fucking design check down to a rb. the last drive of the game we tried checking it down to a RB a few times, and we kept calling 5-8 yard fucking routes, with no TO's remaining and about 45 yards to go to get into deep FG range with less than a minute left. That'll work. fuck you schotty
