I think that it will be a one possession game throughout. The Ravens will try to run right at Jason Taylor, and they might have some success given the strength of their ground game and the Jets relative lack of depth in their front 7. I don't think they'll be able to move the ball through the air very effectively though. The Jets will need Sanchez to make some plays if they're going to win; the Ravens defense is too good to rely purely on a ground and pound approach. Cotchery vs. Carr is a key matchup and a potential advantage for the Jets. I'll say the good guys win 16-13.
Based on how excited I am right now I want to say 99-0 Jets. Jets vs a Hurricain. Jets What is that hurricain is named hurricain ditka... Seriously though. I will predict a higher scoring game. I think LT or SG breaks one for a TD. I think sanchez thows 1 through the air to either Keller of the Beard. I also predict 1 pick 6 from the D. Throw in a FG for good measure late in the 4th. Ravens will score 2 off sanchez interceptions, but our D will hold them to 1 FG. 24-17 Jets.
This is exactly what I'm thinking (and what I put in the other thread by accident). 16-13 Jets, heavy ground game by Baltimore, a real brawl of a game between two physical teams who don't like each other. If I'm the Ravens I also have eight in the box (sometimes dropping a lot of guys back on the snap) just to bait Sanchez into throwing. Until Sanchez shows otherwise for a few games teams are going to assume he's the same guy who threw 20 picks last year.
Jets Win 23-17 -Sanchez 2 Td's and 1 int -Grenne runs for 85 yrds -Folk has 3 FG's ( 36, 42, 40 ) -Rice has two TDs -Flacco is shut down -Cro has 1 int -JT gets first sack as a Jet My predictions
Ravens score the first td 0-7 we score 2 fgs 6-7 going into half we then score 10 unanswered points 16-7
Shonne Greene and LT combine for 150 yards on the ground, Sanchez throws for 158 yards, 1 td and 2 int Edwards 62 yards receiving Cotchery 47 yards Keller 31 yards 1 td Flacco throws for 118 yards 0 tds 2 ints Rice runs for 86 yards 37 yards receving Final score 13-6 Jets
I'll go with some stats first... San: 203 yards 1 TD 1 INT Greene: 21 att for 88 yards LT: 9 att for 40 yards 1 TD Cotch: 5 catches 58 yards Keller: 4 catches 52 yards Edwards: 2 catches 60 yards LT: 4 catches: 23 yards 1 TD Boldin: 2 catches 12 yards DeVito gets a sack Taylor gets a sack Jimmy gets an INT Jets win 17-14
We lose a nail biter by the score of 17-13. We manage a rushing score by LT or Greene but besides that our offense still needs a few more games to mesh together and for Sanchez (who throws a pick) to get going. The Ravens D either scores off a turnover or sets up their offense for an easy score, and Rice runs in a screen pass for a TD.
Not a single prediction for Ravens victory. It was evenly divided in a national poll I saw somewhere two days ago.
