After watching Boise's defense vs VTech yesterday makes you realize how bad theyre hurting at corner without him. Makes me that much more excited to see him on gameday.
With how shaky the offense has looked, I'll gladly let Wilson return punts if it means better field position or (hopefully) touchdowns.
I'm stoked he's returning punts. The way this team plays football, field position is huge, and he can be a game changer back there.

I also dislike Wilson returning punts. I'm well aware of the value of field position and since he's a playmaking PR, then I understand why it's good to have him back there. But during the Revis holdout, we discussed ad nauseum how valuable our 1/2/3 CBs (including Revis) are this year. We incessantly debated how an Offense like the Colts, run by Peyton Manning, will require us to have 3 above-average CBs in order to shut them down. The team signed one CB this Offseason and drafted the other in the first round. After considering all that, I don't think the added injury risk (returning Punts) to Wilson is worth it. Is Brad Smith incapable of being a PR?
No, and I considered that before I posted. But it doesn't change the fact that there's an added risk of injury. So who would you rather risk? Kyle Wilson or Brad Smith?
If Kyle Wilson is better at returning punts, then I would rather Kyle Wilson returning punts. Simple as that. You put the best players most likely to succeed in positions to succeed. If Wilson is the best PR on the roster, then let him return punts and set the offense up
Brad Smith has never returned punts for us, he is our kick returner. Between Leonhard, Cotchery, and Wilson who would you want to risk the most?
Yeah, I've never seen Brad Smith return Punts, just Kickoffs, which is why I asked. I'd rather not risk any of them, but if I had to pick my poison, I guess I'd have to choose Wilson.
