Even if the Jets get shutout good luck trying to put up 20 on this defense.. Let alone 28. You're delusional bro

Dude, you can tell from my sig that I root for another team and I'll tell you right now; if you're cool with it and present actual football thought and arguments most of the posters here will be more than accommodating (ignore anything that comes from junc or champ, everyone else does) BUT if you come in here and think you can talk trash you're just going to be banned.

Be smart and you stick around and I think you'll like it here.

While Housh was a nice acquisition for the Ravens, they still have other issues, primarily due to injuries, that are probably going to plague them for at least several games into the season, on the offensive line and in their defensive secondary. Ed Reed is out for the first 6 games of the season. Cornerback Foxworth is out for the season and defensive backs Washington and Webb are returning from serious knee injuries. So a lot remains to be seen there. Their O-line gave up a lot of sacks in the preseason.

I have said it a hundred times, Ray rice is the key to the game. If he goes off the jets are in trouble, but still might be able to win the game. If they shut him down, they will dominate the game (barring a bazillion turnovers by sanchez)

We also have safeties who are very good at covering the tight end now that rhodes is gone.

Also if you are seriously counting on your 3rd and 4th TE's to beat us, you really don't have any true advanatages do you?

3 possession receivers. The Jets should be able to keep 7 in the box to protect against the run. None of those guys will beat them deep.

Clayton is the only fast receiver they have and apparently they are looking to trade him.

Who is the third solid corner outside of revis and cromagnum? Kw? Let's wait till he has played a regular season snap against a starting caliber receiver.

At this point it's definitely fail to label Wilson as "solid"

He has looked very good in something you can truly evaluate in preseason, 1on1 Man coverage

    Was wondering the same.

A guy isn't "solid" until he has played a whole game

I can see it happening only if the jets dline gets no pressure on flacco. With those receivers and a potent rushing game, it's possible they can put up 28 on the jets d. No
Calvin pace and question marks along the d line will temper many expectations from jet fans. I never understood why a team that barely went 9-7 are expected to be hands down the best team in the NFL. I guess the Revis signing has most of you guys delusional.

we blew a lot of games last year due to the defense being unable to close out games, I attribute plenty of this to Rhodes being a dumbass.

We also lost no less than 4 games because Sanchez was rookie and it showed big time in those games.

With another year of development for Sanchez, and a defense heading into year two of the system that got upgraded in a major way, there is serious reason to be optimistic that we can be a force to be reckoned with. Oh i forgot to mention we added a former Super Bowl MVP to our roster, he should help us get better too don't ya think?

our dline? pressure on Flacco? Yeah that never happens. Our front 3 can never get pressure...dunno if it did all year... That is not how it works.

    lmao you are too much.

We're at the end of this thread and no one has mentioned the Mason was traded. The (murder of) Crows now have Boldin and TJ Whoseyamama. In a few weeks they'll have Donte Stallworth. None of whom have played a regular season down with the Unibrow. Should be interesting.

I can't imagine he'll be very useful in week 1. Nice pickup though.

derrick mason was NOT traded. the man that was traded was Mark Clayton. He was traded to St.louis for a throw-away pick.

Also T.J. will be a good addition for them, but not in a week. It will take time to gain chemistry with Flacco, and get the playbook memorized.

this move actually improves the jets chances week 1 in my opinion.

the only bad part about the Jets v ravens game is that it will be one of the best games of the season. Kind of like catching the biggest fish at the beginning of the trip.
