Of course... and I'm very happy if that's not the case. Let me re-phrase: My opinion watching a TV show regarding the Jets is that we don't have true leaders on O. I wonder how in the world I'll be able to have an opinion during next off-season when there will only be beat writers covering the Jets o.0!
Hmm this is what I gained from the 4th installment of Hard Knocks. Mark Sanchez isnt a leader yet. "Hey c'mon guys lets have some fun out there!"(David Wright voice) Santonio Holmes seems to be a good leader, but sucks the guy is out for four weeks..Somebody needs to step up on offense(Mangold, Woody, T Rich,) "We the most gangsta team. We be eatin cheeseburgahs on the field" Bart Scott hung out with Ray Lewis a little too much. Creeps up behind a Redskin after the play "I'LL KILL YOU MOTHA FUCKA." Rex Ryan is seriously like a little kid. Rex really is a good dude. The way he talks to players/other coaches. "Yeah man you see! you guys gotta have fun. Yeah it'll work!!" Also when he's fuckin with Braylon Edwards was cool. Jets wont guarantee a full year salary to L. Coles, and Adalius Thomas(Revis excuse, but whatever to get the asshole in camp i guess..$$$$) Also does anybody know on previous Hard Knocks do they have extra footage on the DVD's or anything? I cant see the Jets Hard Knocks ending next week.. There has to be so much ridiculous footage we didnt get to see.
didn't catch that part. was cooking during the show..have to rewatch it today. but Bart Scott is fucking nuts. That was awesome. haha i forgot to add that
I imagine Bart has to handle things on the field like that quite often with the way he talks. People want a piece of him. If he didn't act that way he'd be shit all over.
I have and he's a leader by example... not a vocal leader. Plus it's hard to be a true all-round leader when: A) You're not on the field on every single play. He's not even our full-time FB. B) He's not a guy who's supposed to make plays with the ball in his hands. Last year we had TJ for the skill guys and Faneca for the OL being leaders (I'm not discussing their on field production, just leadership). This year one between the WRs, the RBs and Sanchez needs to step his leadership up a notch. The most likely is Holmes but he's out the first 4 games and on a new team, Cotchery is a quiet guy, Greene and Sanchez are in their second year, maybe LT... I don't know... we'll see.
Forgot to set DVR *##$$@$!! I forgot to set my DVR last night. Does anyone know if HBO replays the show later in the week? Or does anyone have a link I can download it from?
I disagree with the Sanchez being cocky shit. I believe quite the contrary. He is still very neurotic and unsure of himself, therefore to compensate he projects the guise of being cocky (I guess some people are picking this up because I still see an unconfident guy). GQ is still my man crush and I believe he will be a mid-tier QB this season but he is way too immature yet to lead this team. He needs to step the fuck up.
1) if you have an account at TYT. 2) HBO replays it way too many times. You can try setting your DVR to "Record Series" of the Hard Knocks instead of "Record Show". That's how it is on my Fios anyway.
I’m a little worried about him. All that money going to his head. Because last night, I’m at Taco Bell… and so is Nick Mangold. I'm almost pissed myself when Rex dropped that line.
Reading through this head, I see a lot of people butting heads because they all think they know more about the team than another person.
What was the exchange between Braylon and Santonio after Rex commented about the evolution of beards and left the room? They said something to each other than started laughing. I rewound it a couple of times and still couldn't make it out. I think it may have had something to do with OSU/TTUN, and as a Bucks fan I'm curious.
I think people are reading too much into this. The same things said about our players can be said about any of the players that have ever appeared on Hard Knocks. I don't remember Carson Palmer being such a great leader when the Bengals were on Hard Knocks, and certainly not Tony Romo.
How would you feel if you weren't getting a heavily edited show once a week? Because I remember a slew of articles like this during camp, and I trust the words of his teammates over the picture HBO wants to paint for dramatic effect. NOTE: ARTICLE IS NOT NEW. IT'S FROM EARLY AUGUST. http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/jets/sanchez_grabbing_leadership_mantle_gCjlXbpUrMjiKWNk6pImhJ
