Since when does Shotty run plays like that? Shitty draws and trick HB flicks maybe, but I don't think he used short slants and plays like that enough.
I don't know what you were watching last season, but that's about all we did since implementing the "color-code system". Slant, slant, PA roll-out, slant some more.
WSW and I were discussing this on another thread... Our crack offensive coaching staff had to undertake a study to find out something that they could have learned logging into here any post-game Monday. At least from the looks of the additions on the offensive side of the ball, they probably learned what we've known all along.
Sanchez has about an average arm, so especially late in the season in the Meadowlands doesn't it make sense not to air it way out too often? I thought that was what was said since he was drafted.
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/trainingcamp10/columns/story?columnist=clayton_john&id=5476409 I haven't seen this posted but I thought it was an interesting read. Everyone is so excited about our defense (and rightfully so) but I'm almost equally excited about our offense. I'm not the biggest clayton fan in the world but I thought he put forward a valuable contribution here.
He may have had more in mind but he had Sanchez looking to force the ball downfield for half the season last year. One thing all of us agree on is that Rex knows football. If Schotty didn't know what he was doing he wouldn't be here still.
I thought it offered zero insight. We already know that the Jets have better personnel than both the Rams and Lions. And why include Bradford? Shouldn't Freeman be included instead? And this article is right after the Calvin Johnson one saying that he would have it tougher this year than last even though Clayton thinks Stafford will be improved and CJ is surrounded by better talent. Make sense of that.
