I don't leaugh about guys getting injured because it could happen at any time but if I'm playing the jets in preseason especially if I'm playing against hungry guys looking to make the final 53 I might think twice about waiting that extra second to throw the ball.
Hopefully we can work our QB KO mojo in week 2 (and if necessary, 13). And if miracles are possible and Tebow winds up starting by week 6 it would be nice to bloody him up a bit, too.
Have a nice time in our stadium Giant fans as you watch 4 quarters of Rhett Bomar. Hell yeah, he's worth $700 per ticket. The giants are an old broken down team. They are always hurt. This is great
I think it's OK to take pride in a minor injury like this because it won't end his career and because the hit that caused it wasn't dirty. Like when Ryan talked about how they once knocked a QB out the next week with "general soreness." As long as the guy's career isn't significantly altered and as long as the hit was within the rules, I think it's a good thing to have a "body count" like this in order to keep an air of intimidation around the defense. As for Eli and Sorgi, those two specific examples from the first preseason game are a great sign that the Jets' D picked up right where it left off. With the exception of the backup DBs, I think the second unit actually looked adequate.
Got a feeling this means Favres game vs the Jets will be the last of his career esp with the limited mobility due to that ankle injury.
The funny thing about this is, that 2nd team wasn't playing as intense and physical as Rex would've like them to play. Wait til they do. Haha.
