Our pass protection looked great and it seemed to be a flawless transition from faneca to slauson. I only remeber Sanchez getting touched once and that was because he didnt get the ball out fast enough.

The running attacked looks OK, but I expect that to improve as the season moves forward, I was just extemely impressed with the pass protection.

Didn't play a snap. Held out for precautionary reasons.

Either you misread my post or are jokingly claiming Robert Turner to be the best center in the game.

Either way, I'll just answer with a yes.

I was also like you although I noticed while playing madden after the game. I'm thinking to myself...did Mangold play tonight? I don't remember seeing him.

OL wasnt bad, but...Woody alowed sack to rookie Pierre-Paul, Slauson was ok and Vladimir's pass protection was really bad.

Kellen Clemens had a good night.

The protection was at least adequate.

Didnt we have like 3 holding penalties early on ?

I know the one looked like a pretty shitty call, but still those holding penalties will kill ya in a real game

Greene averaged over 5 ypc. Mangold didn't play and Sanchez was throwing all night (13-17). The line was just fine.

I felt Rob Turner done well at centre. If we were to ever lose Mangold in game then I feel Tunrer can step in and not be a weakness on the field.

that and LT was pretty filthy, I enjoyed watching the burst out of LT, that TD run gave me goosebumps! he is going to surprise people this year, without a doubt.

Let's look at it a little more closely:

    1-10-NYJ 45 (14:00) 23-S.Greene right tackle to NYJ 46 for 1 yard (54-J.Goff).

    1-10-NYJ 32 (11:41) 21-L.Tomlinson left tackle to NYJ 31 for -1 yards (54-J.Goff, 59-M.Boley).

    3-2-NYJ 40 (10:23) 23-S.Greene right guard to NYJ 48 for 8 yards (26-A.Rolle, 31-A.Ross).

    2-10-NYJ 48 (9:35) 23-S.Greene left guard to NYG 45 for 7 yards (94-M.Kiwanuka).

    2-5-NYG 33 (7:48) 23-S.Greene right guard to NYG 25 for 8 yards (34-D.Grant).

    2-10-NYG 25 (7:02) 21-L.Tomlinson right tackle to NYG 20 for 5 yards (95-R.Bernard, 94-M.Kiwanuka).

    1-10-NYG 15 (6:12) 23-S.Greene right tackle to NYG 13 for 2 yards (99-C.Canty).

    2-17-NYG 21 (1:08) 21-L.Tomlinson right tackle to NYG 18 for 3 yards (91-J.Tuck, 99-C.Canty).

    1-10-NYJ 40 (9:57) 21-L.Tomlinson right tackle to NYJ 42 for 2 yards (97-L.Joseph).

    1-10-NYG 37 (8:30) 21-L.Tomlinson right tackle to NYG 32 for 5 yards (55-B.Kehl).

    1-15-NYG 16 (6:07) 21-L.Tomlinson right guard to NYG 16 for no gain (97-L.Joseph).

    2-18-NYJ 24 (1:08) 21-L.Tomlinson left tackle to NYJ 26 for 2 yards (49-P.Dillard).

    3-16-NYJ 26 :)58) 21-L.Tomlinson right guard to NYJ 27 for 1 yard (97-L.Joseph, 55-B.Kehl).

5/13 plays for more than 3 yards. Greene looked good, but the line wasn't opening up anything much for LT at all, asides the TD play which came back. Then the backups came in:

    1-10-NYJ 27 (14:55) 25-J.McKnight left tackle to NYJ 28 for 1 yard (97-L.Joseph, 55-B.Kehl).

    2-9-NYJ 28 (14:10) 25-J.McKnight right tackle to NYJ 30 for 2 yards (55-B.Kehl, 95-R.Bernard).

    1-10-NYG 41 (12:08) 25-J.McKnight left tackle to NYG 39 for 2 yards (49-P.Dillard).

    1-10-NYG 22 (10:43) 15-L.Taylor right end to NYG 22 for no gain (29-D.Johnson).

    2-10-NYG 22 (10:06) 25-J.McKnight left end to NYG 22 for no gain (29-D.Johnson).

    1-10-NYJ 27 (7:46) 25-J.McKnight right end to NYJ 28 for 1 yard (90-J.Pierre-Paul, 29-D.Johnson).

    1-10-NYJ 38 (5:24) 25-J.McKnight right tackle to NYJ 42 for 4 yards (74-D.Hendricks, 55-B.Kehl).

    2-6-NYJ 42 (4:43) 25-J.McKnight right end pushed ob at 50 for 8 yards (41-M.Greco).

    1-10- (4:16) 25-J.McKnight up the middle to NYG 48 for 2 yards (36-J.Busing).

    2-10-NYG 30 (3:15) 25-J.McKnight right tackle to NYG 28 for 2 yards (95-R.Bernard, 74-D.Hendricks).

    1-10-NYJ 20 (2:29) 25-J.McKnight left tackle to NYJ 23 for 3 yards (74-D.Hendricks, 37-C.Brown).

    2-10-NYJ 37 (1:16) 25-J.McKnight right guard to NYJ 39 for 2 yards (75-N.Collins).

    1-10-NYJ 20 (9:36) 25-J.McKnight left tackle to NYJ 24 for 4 yards (75-N.Collins, 98-A.Tracy).

    2-6-NYJ 24 (9:05) 25-J.McKnight up the middle to NYJ 25 for 1 yard (75-N.Collins, 70D-A.Hall).

Hardly any positive plays in the running game at all. None over 8 yards in the whole game.

I'm not saying it's all doom and gloom, but let's hope Mangold has a huge impact when he plays.
