Yeah, I remember the story. I guess I'm just so used to the hourly updates on this thing, that when Carton mentioned it this morning I thought it was something new. That whole thing went down like 2-3 days ago. Which is an eternity within this whole saga!
TheJetsStream: #Jets first and second offense scores on 5 of 6 plays in goalline drills. OC Brian Schottenheimer is downright giddy. ... Twitter - 4 minutes ago
Everything this offense does against this defense is a super improvement. Imagine what they will do to all the other sucky defenses in the league then.
TheJetsStream: #Jets John Conner with great block that springs Shonn Greene for 4yd TD run off left side. Offense dominating in goal ... Twitter - 14 minutes ago I won't be shocked if Conner beats out Richardson.
Tony is a leader on the team. Conner will win some playing time, but I'm pretty sure the starting spot will be Richardson's until he retires at the end of the year.
This regime has showed that it cares more about on the field production than leadership. If Conner proves he's the better option at FB, he will start IMO.
Yeah and I don't think they will keep two full backs. Ryan seemed to be saying that the other day in one of his pressers when he said "Who knows, maybe we will keep both of them". That really doesn't sound like that is his first choice.
I agree. The guy who produces more will see more playing time. T-Rich is a leader and has the respect of everyone including the coaching staff. You saw that in the little piece he had on Hardknocks the other night. I expect both TR and Conner to be on the team and have it like we handled Thomas Jones and Greene last year. Richardson will be the starter and play most snaps especially early on and just ease Conner into the role that he will once get and eventually be the full time starter. It'd be nice to send TR out with a ring!
That's partially true. No one proved they were better than faneca at LG and certainly based on the last couple of years you can't say LT had more onfield production than Thomas Jones.
