That isn't true. Forgetting the signing bonuses, contracts can include gauranteed money. The Jets are paying 5 mil of Faneca's contract this year. In some cases, yes, they can cut a player and get off the hook. The stars get gauranteed money.

Leon was foolish to refuse that offer from the Jets. HE decided to take his chances. He wanted to start, and get paid like a starter. He chose to play so he could test the market. But, this is a Revis thread.
I agree with this post, definitely. Guys get cut and discarded away every year, some fair and some not fair. But in terms on Leon, it sucks what happened to him and to us, because who knows? Maybe with that extra weapon we keep hanging point on the Colts in AFCCG if he's healthy and playing...but I blame Keels for that whole situation. The Jets offered him a pretty damn good contract before the season started that was turned down. You know it was Keels in his ear, it's been discussed ad nauseum on this site, but what was offered was more than fair, imho.
