Yeah, the impact on other contracts has been pretty thoroughly hashed out here. To be fair, though, it's been tough to get through every post in this fast moving thread.

WJ would rather dig up his dead daughter and dance with her than be in the same class as Al Davis.

    over the line?

    * That is exactly why they should make him honor his original contract or let him sit 3 years. This can set a precident that any player who has an exceptional year wants to change his contract, Beavis signed a contract and had 3 years left on it and should honor it, case closed.

Honestly after Revis and Mangold, Harris may, UNFORTUNATELY, be the odd man out.

I'm only a fan and not even one who knows much about equivalent value at various positions but I'd take Ngata and Suggs. One guy who is in the last year of a contract and an older guy who is still performing OK for a high dollar contract. Those two should be able to generate the kind of pass rush needed to make up for a lesser defensive backfield.

They put stuff in his last contract to try to prevent this course from happening. Namely the loss of the ability to void his last two years.

    Did it help?

If it's possible they should have a clause to pay back any guaranteed money in the event of a holdout. It's probably not legal though.

what the fuck is Beavis? what association are you trying to make, Revis to a beaver?

you do grasp the mocking of him as Mevis, right? you, see, it is a play on his name and his selfishness, hence the "Me." Beavis is neither a play on his name or any characteristic of him, and is just as arbitrary, irrelevant and fucking stupid as calling him Dan. ohh, it rhymes, well done, so clever.

leave the creativity and humor to the professionals, because you clearly grasp neither.

EDIT: you know what....I'm gonna counter "Mevi$"....with Believis......because I'll always support Revis Christ as long as he's a Jet.

why not, it makes as much fucking sense and relevance. maybe we should call him Jevis, or Pevis, both make as much sense.

hopefully we just don't have to call him "Leavus."

Yeah, I know. Normally I read every post in any thread I follow. In this one, I go back 3 pages tops, and read forward from there. There's just too much.

I don't know for certain, but I assumed it was a reference to Beavis of "Beavis and Butthead" fame. Basically, mocking a perceived idiocy on his his part.

Personally, I get it, but I think the Mevis moniker is far more appropriate.

JB - why all the venom over a name?

Don't YOU see the relevance of calling him Beavis? Its cause he's being a Butthead....
