The Madden 11 Thread

I turn off auto-turbo because I'm so used to holding down the trigger. I can't play any other way.

 

Here's to hoping real life plays out like Madden...Jets are 14-2, Gholston has 13 sacks(!!) and the Jets are in the title game against the Saints...

 

Anyone having issues with the game freezing during load of things? I was doing some Madden Moments and the game froze during the load of the 3rd one on the list, the Packers and Bengals one, twice. Plus during some normal game loads it locks up.

Brand new PS3, maybe 3 months old. Game was exposed to the free air for all of 5 seconds and handled on the corners. Really annoying.

 

Just got it and I'm fairly impressed, although it's not a huge improvement over 10.

Things I've noticed over my first three games with the Jets.
1. David Harris is a beast.
2. Getting rid of the sprint button is great for running the ball.
3. The new commentator pronounces everything weird. (Beachum, which I thought was pronounced 'Beechum' he calls Beckham. 'Mathaius Kiwanookoo' and a few others.

 

^^The commentating fucking blows. Was playing today and I heard "buh-nuh-nuh-nuh duh-nuh-nuh-nuh". It sounded really wack and was just a total wthwasthat moment.

 

it froze twice on me so far, once when loading my franichse and another after i had just beaten the vikings

 

It hasn't frozen for me, but I do seem some hiccups, almost like the game lagging during some of the cut scenes.

 

Trading in franchise mode is all fucked up and umm..no free agency!?

Turn the auto option off in the menu and you can control the turbo like in the old game.

 

I find myself still hitting speed burst, but that's simply out of habit. I really like the auto-burst there is now, allows blocks to develop and what not...Altho my lead blocker is still a blind dumb retard.

 

I can't set upt d like used too, this strategy pad is pure ass...

 

I actually like the Strat pad, it took me a dozen or so games, but I'm able to mod my d fairly quickly.

I still have trouble against teams that like to snap fast, like the Colts, but 90% of the time, it's easy. It just took practise.

 

absolutely love the new play art. shows specific blocking assignments so now i know when a guy plans on double blocking the NT or going to the LB (or watever) and i can pick inside or outside the tackle correctly.

 

oh and preseason game 1. Ihedigbo is hurt (don't really care). I look after the game at injury report.

Best madden ever and the only good one to come out since 04. Loving the new locomotion. Spiller is a beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeast. 3rd best RB in the game.

 

Am I the only person who can't tackle?

 

Jesus the Patriots are pricks in this game with the screens.

 

All those fucking slip screens they run in real life are annoying as fuck as well.
