You are the section over from me. I'm in row 34. Have you been in the stadium yet? If so, how's the view from there?

Outstanding thread. Thanks Pen-10 for all your work. I really considered driving up there for this...kinda wish I had now.
Does anyone know why they didn't do the scrimmage on the stadium field? I went down for the game and got there an hour early and couldnt get a seat or spot to stand anywhere because they decided to play it on the practice field which has bleachers that hold maybe 200 people. This was my first time going to Cortland and it was just an awful experience. I've heard good things from people on the board but I couldn't believe how poorly organized everything was tonight.
I'd hate to take pleasure at your expense but this makes me happy I didn't take the 3.5 hr drive this morning.
Yeah, my buddies and I ALMOST went out there today, but we decided to go next Saturday instead. So glad I didn't make the trip.
The stadium is artificial turf. No way the Jets will ever practice on anything other than the natural fields they put in this year (six figure cost for each of them). I don't understand why the team doesn't do something about seating to allow for a better viewing experience especially now that a multi- year deal has been made. The same problems existed last year. People were showing up for this thing two hours plus early to get a good view this year. Well at least the Jets didn't move up the start time of the scrimmage the day of the event like they did last year. Did you hang around town at all after the scrimmage?
No i live 2 hours away so I made the trip home. I ended up leaving around 6:45 because it just wasn't worth my time. I wish I was free on a different day so I could have gone to another practice cause this was just brutal today.
Just got home, the game was pretty awesome. Prior to my recount of the game, note: i missed a lot due to being along the 20 yard line, and being unable to see down the sideline, i missed an awful lot, particularly the OL play and DL play, and blitzpickups. Sadly seating sucked, but we found a good spot about 3 rows back on the 20 yard line, and got lucky had some great action in our area, and found a way to get a few good shots, pics hopefully will get up tomorrow. That said, I was right on the sideline for the two biggest plays of the game. Sanchez pass to LT was absolutely perfect, it went right into his outstretched hands just past David Harris, it was completely perfect. Then Holmes makes a great grab on an ill advised throw by Brunell. Marquice Cole was in pretty good coverage, and if he turned around, would have picked it off. But regardless Holmes made a great grab and was pushed OB, then ran right up to our section of the sideline for a celebration, totally awesome. Edwards, don't even think a ball was thrown his way Cotch made at least one short grab on Cro where he made him miss once and that got him another 5 yards before Cro caught up to him to wrestle him down. other than that, Cro was lights out, and allowed very little separation on his man, it was almost revis-like. Pretty damn sweet if you ask me. Larry Taylor (#15) torched Cole on another play, the guy is a speedster, just lightning fast, and had Cole not held on to his jersey for dear life, Taylor would have scored on a bomb from I believe Kevin O'Connel. Mcknights stats probably won't be all that great, but he was damn impressive to me. he showed some impressive wiggle, and he made quite a few plays where he left 2 defenders on the ground after getting nothing but air. only got a handful of yards, but still if you can make that many guys miss that often, its going to lead to some big plays. He also made a nice grab and turned it up the sideline for about 15 yards. I am willing to bet Mcknight led the backs in carries, and that Danny Woodhead was #2 in that category. Danny looked pretty good himself, he had a couple of nice dive plays, and looked good, always kept the legs driving, and made one heck of a grab on a way overthrown ball on a simple flat pattern, which he then turned into a ten yard gain Chauncey washington had a filthy cutback on a run that led to a 30+ yard td run. Greene split carries with LT, both probably got about 5 carries, LT did break one loose for about 15, but Greene was his good ol' self running like a truck and finding ways to fall forward for extra yards, sadly he didnt break anything big, but it was in limited carries. Coles had one nice diving grab for about 10 yards. Slauson started with the 1s, and also played RT with the 2's. and I believe he also played RG with the 3's. Slauson got lots of work, and looked good out there. Ducasse, didnt get much work down my end of the field, so I can't say how he did, but he certainly did get some quality PT with the 2's. otherwise the OL looked good, in all three teams, sadly I couldnt see the sack made by Pace, so I cant tell you if it was an OL mistake or a failed pickup or what. Defensively, nothing majorly impressive that I could see but that was mostly secondary work, Pace had a sack, Cole had very good coverage on a handful of plays, lowery got beaten by Holmes on a play that went for about 30, but it took a very acrobatic grab to beat him. ST wise, on the second drive Brunell got them into FG range, and Folk missed it left. I would guess the kick was from about 35-40 yards. Although, Folk nailed every other kick he took (all were between quarters and at halftime) and even drilled a kick from approximately the 44 (where the holder was, not the LOS). Punters looked good both Conley and Weatherford were kicking nice high deep punts, and both really boomed a handful. plenyt of guys were fielding punts, including Leonhard, Cromartie, Woodhead, Mcknight, Wilson and Cotchery. Shockingly Wilson muffed 2, and Mcknight dropped 1, the others didnt drop anything, although Cro did bobble one, they fielded probably 10-15 punts a piece. after practice soundbites, long Auto session at least 30 mins for the players, Rex was signing autos in our section and somebody asked if he felt they were ready to beat the Mannings of the world, and rex replied, "Well of course we are, why the hell else would we be playing if it wasn't to win a Super Bowl" LT was the first player out to sign and was 2nd to last to leave, and he only left when he was dragged away by a big ass dude, saying he had to go to a meeting. LT was genuinely upset he had to leave, he was extremely apologetic, dude was awesome to listen to speak. If his body is capable, he is going to be disgusting this year. Shonn Greene was easy going as well, somebody thanked him profusely for making that postseason so memorable, then he said if only you hadnt gotten hurt, I know we would have beaten Indy, and Greene actually apologized to the guy saying he had replayed it in his head countless times, wishing that he could have gone, because he felt and I quote "they wouldnt have been able to stop me in the second half". He really seems like he is going to tear it up this year. I asked Cromartie how many INT's he would get this year, he refused to speculate on the number but laughed as he said he would just have to catch anything they threw at him. Sanchez was the last out still signing auto's chatting it up with fans, he laughed when somebody yelled out "Hey Sanchez, don't worry man no pressure on you this year, you'll still be better than Tony Romo!" Sanchez said something I couldnt hear and everyone started laughing and somebody else yelled out "thats not saying much! Romo is just terrible" All in all, it was totally awesome. fired up and I can't wait till Hard Knocks starts
