cant wait to get them in a cold weather game. 2 teams full of hate playing smash mouth football in december love it
Sure I get that and your right, but in my house it was an is personal. In Long Island growing up being a Jets fan was easy. But for some godforsaken reason my younger brother became a Dolphin fan. We were in each others faces all the time. So it's good to have it over him twice a year. He's been bringing that little sore to me twice a month at least since last season. I want to hit the dolphins right between the eyes. It's better than hitting my brother lol.
And we could have been 16-0 ... realistically of course. Atlanta, Indy, SD, NO, NE, Houston, Tennessee, Pittsburgh, Buffalo...all fluke losses. ????
Difference is that a lot of the loses were from big time fuck ups on the jets part . Your team was outplayed, and not as talented.
I hope the Jets come out with a massive chip on their shoulders @MIA because those losses were bitter pills to swallow. Each game came down to the last drive. The 2nd game was a massive special teams failure... The Fins had about 100 yards of offense. Not taking anything away from the Fins, Ws are Ws, but clearly the Jets could have taken each game if one or two select plays goes different.
I agree with you to an extent, our team is not as talented ... yet but the Colts game was a screw up by us, the Saints game was a screw up by us, and we were leading the Bills with 7 minutes to go until we screwed that up
Absolutely I agree, but that could almost be said about any game. We had about 5 of those this past year. but wow that Monday Night game was a classic, vintage Dolphins-Jets game filled with trash-talk, big hits, and 4th quarter drama. I think any general NFL fan would typically be hard-pressed to find a more entertaining game than a Dolphins-Jets showdown
That might have been the case in the 2nd game, but let's be real, that Monday night game the Jets should not have even been in that game...Had it not been for a couple of trick plays on punts, and the BS PI call, Miami blows NY that night...
Stupid post. Trick plays are a part of the playbook and are completely legal, so your argument is pure rubbish. Your punting unit failed to adjust. Your argument could be used the same way in game 2 @NYJ. "Had it not been for 2 blown kickoff coverages NY blows Miami that night..." but our kickoff coverage failed to adjust. It is what it is, two close games that went in your favor. If you expect to sweep the NYJ again this year like most of your fanbase does, you will be dissapointed. It won't happen.
Yep, doesn't take long before the classic fin fan mantra appears, "BS PI call". Because we know that Miami is never the beneficiary of a call going their way. If fin fans aren't complaining about blown calls that only go against them, they're complaining about injuries that only they seem to get...
I don't think it will either. I see a split. And I never got that...the main thing I always hear a Jets fan say when that first game is brought up is, "oh they brought out the pussy wildcat" or something to that effect, like it's an excuse why NY lost. Didn't you guys bring out an even ... bear with me..."trickier" play, twice, that night? Whatever. Should be a fun series. Just sucks for you that we'll be wearing orange in Week 3.
No Denny, I get it.....I remember watching the AFC Championship game when the Jets lost to the Dophins in the Mud bowl, the fake spike, the shootouts between O'brien and Marino I swear O'brien seemed to play his best when the Jets played the Dolphins; and of course the Monday night miracle. At the end of the day, there is no love loss for the Fins....
we werent in that game at all. the defense had a mental breakdown, and obviously didnt prepare hard enough for the phins. They def were laughing the entire week before the MNF game.
True, but if Ronnie Brown gets held up at the line for a couple of seconds before going down short the game is over and the Jets win. We played our worst defensive game of the year, but Sanchez and Braylon were playing great games at the same time.
Yes he did but unfortunately it seemed like Marino did as well.... I remember those games when I was a kid and they were always the biggest game of the year unless we played the Giants or Niners at home which seemed to never happen.
True, whereas in the second contest you played one of your best defensive games, Sanchez had a great game but couldn't finish off that last drive. Lookin for more great games this year that will hopefully go a long way in deciding who takes the division!
