I'm lazy. What is it currently being called? Any rumors on names? Is the AshleyMadison.Com deal still available?
From what I read they've overpriced that too, and even after landing the Super Bowl can't get what they're asking. I think the people in charge for both teams don't have any concept of what's going on in the real world in terms of money and what people (and companies) can spend. They'll have to figure it out sooner or later.
It's currently being called New Meadow Lands Stadium. No rumors on naming rights besides the old ones. Nazi field, or Cheating Whore Stadium.
New Meadow Lands Stadium sounds fucking rediculous. Maybe it could have a rotating name every 3-4 years like the Pac Bell/SBC/AT&T Park in San Francisco!
Yeah, yeah, I've heard the 'shared stadium--we're on equal footing' agrument, but still, it's essentially located on the Giants original move from New York footprint. Giant fans'll be referring to it as 'new' Giants Stadium. Outside of our OWN West Side Stadium (thought they should've put it in Queens in the first place but whatever..): James Dolan-Sucking-Manhattan-Liberal-Sheldon-Silver's-Cock- Stadium .... hmmm, maybe a tad too unwieldly. That said, if nothing else maybe it can be unofficially referred to in the fall of 2011 as "home of the Super Bowl Champion New York Jets and the 4-12 New York Giants."
Giant fans'll be referring to it as 'new' Giants Stadium. They are full of crap and only say that caus they know it irks Jets fans. Every time a new stadium is built I hear "I don't care what they name it, I'm gonna call it X." Then eventually everyone calls it by the actual name. Even people in SF have abandoned calling it Candlestick.
You're absolutely right when you say that a lot of fans will only refer to it as new Giants Stadium until a real name is given. It sucks, but that's the way it'll be.
Relatives I have ceased calling it Candlestick a few years ago, though clearly that doesnt mean they are the majority. The fact anyone calls it Pac Bell sorta proves my point.
