    EA: Jets announce a two-year extension for head coach Rex Ryan and a five-year extension for GM Mike Tannenbaum. Both run through 2014.

    Tanny got his new deal so maybe he'll take care of some players now.

    Glad to hear we got Rex locked up.

    It'll be nice to have a coach and a GM that sticks around for a while for a change as opposed to firing and hiring constantly

    Tanny is a wizard and has made some impressive decisions over his tenure.....good to see him locked in for the forseeable future.

    I would have to say that this is the best move made by the Jets in a long time, I am glad to see. To bad I am moving to Europe and will miss the next three years becuase it sure would be nice to watch this show.

    The amount of change we got just this past season was unreal....now were going to have some long term stability, with a new stadium to boot? Maybe, its finally our time!!

    Good stuff. Tannenbaum has acquired a ton of talent in his time here and is a cap wizard, he's earned an extension.

    5 years may be a little much, but looking at the roster in 2006 compared to now, you don't think he's done a good job?
