Personally, I'm very much in favor of seeing John Conner get some carries this season. Nothing severe, but five to ten Terminator touches in garbage time will keep our other guys fresh.
i hate contributing to dumb threads but... #4 RB = john conner Good enough for a #4 RB. If we get down to our #4 RB we probably have much bigger problems than "who is running the ball?"
Wow.. I've got guys coming out of the woodwork now.. . PLEASE DELETE THIS THREAD.... Heck, I see it as a decent topic but, maybe it's the worst thing I've ever posted. Who knows.. If I were a regular #### that posted #### all the time I could see it but, Damn, I think this board is showing up real small on this.....
Hey - what is gayer? 15 Arabs on Viagra butt-banging each other in a pool full of pudding? Or this thread?
A few weeks ago people probably would have laughed at Coles... Cimini said it was a dead issue when Holmes was signed..... But, if our #1 WR never completed a full season and our #2 WR was Tory Holt or the WR equivalent of LT, I'd be right with you. Otherwise... Meh.
I'm not gonna dogpile on the OP because it is a viable discussion, How many games has Greene played in his career? He also was injured to start the season and got injured in the most important half of football in his life. Health is a question. Now maybe he goes insane and runs for 1400 yards and 12 TD or maybe he gets injured we don't know. LT isn't an everydown back and is more of a 3rd down back at this point in his career. He can't and won't carry the load should Greene go down. My assumption is that we run into injury issues one of two things would happen. A) we'd change the gameplan and rely more on Sanchez to win games as he certainly has the weapons or B) we trade for a guy like Marshwyn Lynch or sign one of the Raider castoffs
If we lose Greene or LT, our RB depth doesn't look nearly as good obviously. But if McKnight gets his act together, there's no reason he can't be a viable complement to those two. Also, Chauncey Washington was thought fairly highly by the FO last year to bring in. Danny Woodhead could also get some touches as a 3rd down back. As long as the offensive line keeps playing at a really high level, there is no reason at all why we can't just plug players back there and get some decent production. We'd have to rely on our passing game and defense a little more, but the offensive line is the biggest key. We want to have a system where we can plug any competent back back there and still have some success.
I was going to type : Engrish please...... but this made me LOL Nicely done! You sir are a must read poster.
I think you are all missing the point. What happens if Ghost goes down? WHO WILL BE THE FUCK UP THEN? Should we go out and get JaMarcus Russel or Charlie Rogers? They are both good at fucking up.
