Jets are cleaning up number 1 rankings right now both team and individual. But I don't think you can put him at 1 just yet. He's Pro Bowl Caliber for sure but playing in the same conference as Clady, Long, and Thomas makes it hard for people to see how good of a LT you really are when your going up against guys like them.

This season will tell the tale for that. He will not have Faneca to lean on. Will the Jets leave him on an island to prove he's top notch?

Really? Stop thinking that Madden ratings and fan voted Pro Bowlers mean anything, Faneca was the weak link on our line.

Baldinger must be a closet Jets fan.
He also voted Revis the #1 player in the NFL.

    Other way around.

Faneca doesn't have a DBrick to lean on in arizona.

He's 5 years in now. He can handle whats next to him in Ducasse or Slauson.

I don't think he's the best LT in the business, but he's elite.

There isn't anyone in the NFL who doesn't think he's #1.

Baldinger is definitely a Jets fan. He went to High School on Long Island.

It is funny, he has improved every single year. Every player over the last few years that has been considered better than Brick or picked ahead of him for Pro-Bowls has either taken a step back or is wildly over-rated. The perfect examples are Jason Peters or M.McNeil. Also ask Brown fans about Thomas and their complaints are eerily similar.....lol

Edit: I truly hope the same old putrid Jets fans finally are getting over the fact Brick isn't a bust. That must be disappointing for them.

Huzzah for D'Brick! His improvement since 2006 has been one of the most enjoyable things to watch come out of the Mangini years.

    I'd go:

    1) Jake Long
    2) Ryan Clady
    3) Brick Ferguson

Not hatin' on Brick, he's definitely lived up to his draft position.

With all the players that Jet fans go out of their way to overrate, and there are so many people on the board that don't give D'Brick his due. There are only two left tackles in football that I would probably take over him, and that's Joe Thomas and Jake Long. Long isn't better right now (Thomas is), but Jake's a few years younger than both and will be right there soon. Guys like Clady and Michael Roos are arguable, but certainly not no-brainer picks over Ferguson.

how can anyone here rate offensive lineman from other teams? unless you're watching and breaking down video no one knows. I have NFL sunday ticket and watch as much NFL as anyone yet I couldn't tell you how great Clady is. I know based on reputation and what I hear. when the Jets are playing on sunday at 1 which they seem to do often I'm locked in on at that game and rarely switch over unless halftime or for a minute during commercials.

do any of you break down video of other teams offensive lines?

No, but if I could I'd do it because I love Offensive Line play.

Those guys aren't as underrated as they used to be in terms of mainstream opinion, but the job they do is so goddamn important its insane.
