I don't want him here, they should be concentrating on Wilson, Revis, and Mangold now.

Harris can wait, but Coles..... I don't know why, I'm just sick of him.

He was actually having a good game against us until he got hurt again. The man can still play but he can't take anymore hits to the head. Either way I am happy he could be back.

Didn't we learn our lesson from our talented yet injury ridden CB Donald Strickland?

isn't Clowney currently 87? In Cinci Coles wore a teen number I think 14.

C'mon man...I almost forgot how annoying you can be. t's not like he's being brought in to play a major role. He'll probably rarely be on the field, but when he is, he'll be a better option than David Clowney and/or Brad Smith.

Coles will be the fourth or fifth option in our passing game during the Holmes' suspension. Cotchery, Edwards, Keller, and Tomlinson will see more targets than him.

This move is about getting Mark Sanchez another weapon to work with in Santonio Holmes' absence. It's a smart, inexpensive move.

    I want to say 11.

Ken Anderson was 14 in Cincinnati, not sure if they retired it, they should have if they didn't.

So by bringing in a player who can't stay on the field when we have a gap due to Holmes for the first 4 weeks is me being annoying?

Strickland wasn't a starter and had the same problems. How did not having Strickland effect us in the AFCCG? I'd argue if Strickland stayed on the field all game we WIN that game. AND if he doesn't have injury issues ALL year we would have locked up a playoff spot WEEK 15.

I really just don't see the benefit of bringing in Coles....I'd rather see who gets cut loose into training camp to see if we can find a guy that way. IMO its a waste of a roster spot especially when special teams is such a glaring need.

If Coles and Alison are competing for a spot I say yeah why not...but if Coles is being handed a roster spot I'm not for it.

Really? Same size better hands than Brad Smith. I mean he was never one to burn CB's. I think he is suited for the spot. Him and Dustin could cause all sorts of problems underneath. Your telling me he can't beat linebackers?

wtf. he just wants to get a ring.

I was for Coles signing earlier in the offseason, but now I disagree highly.

The Clown, and Brad Smith should be our 3rd wr til Holmes returns.

I'm pretty sure Coles started every game but three last season with the Bengals. He played in all 16, plus the playoff game.

You're annoying because you have no idea what you're talking about most of the time.

It's a completely different situation. On defense, we HAD to put garbage defensive backs on the field because the Colts made us when they sent out four wideouts to spread the field.

Peyton Manning and the Colts attacked the Jets in the right way. They spread our defense out and attacked the weaknesses - incredibly smart game plan on their part (as usual).

In our offense, how often are we going to use three wideouts? We're a run heavy team with a dangerous receiver at tight end. Coles will rarely be on the field. I'd take him over Clowney or Smith.

I really don't see the benefit in you posting again. I thought you were "retired"...

Coles knows our offense already. He'll be able to come in and work with Sanchez RIGHT AWAY. It's a smart move and a very temporary stop gap. I don't know how you can't see that.

...and I hope to god you aren't bitching about Nick Folk.

David Clowney's done absolutely nothing for this team to deserve a shot at playing time.

Brad Smith is a role player and a damn good one. He'll be our Wildcat QB, a kick returner, and a gunner on special teams. That's where he fits best and our coaching staff knows it.

Coles is a better option as a temporary stop-gap then either of these two players.

good to see nothing has changed here...

if the jets will RARELY use Coles why waste a spot on him?? I would think taking that spot by a WR who is capable of special teams coverage would actually make the most sense...

no i'm actually not bitching about nick folk...

try anger management it'll be beneficial..

I'll gladly go back to jetsinsider where people are actually civilized :)
