I'm really sick of Hard Knocks already. I don't like it that our Jets are the featured team this year.
I wouldn't say I'm sick of it (hasn't started yet), but I definitely think the hype train needs to slow down some. Too much s*** going on, too many possible distractions. It's almost TC, time to STFU with the media and go to work. And signing TO would not help the situation.

Its been interesting to see this offseason the split between this fanbase. You got the old guys and the younger guys. The younger guys seem to be embracing the culture change...twitter, big talking, Hard Knocks, and attempts to "sell" the team nationally. The old guys (think Joe Beningo types) will bitch about anything. "Too much talking", "hard knocks is a distraction"..."just shut up and play"... Well this organization needs a culture change...the old way didnt work. 40 plus years and counting and no title...its time to change things up. Hard Knocks will hardly be the distraction that derails this team. Imagine you're a 24 year old kid playing/living in NY with millions in the bank...are you trying to tell me that TV cameras at training camp is going to be the thing that messes with your head? If this team doesnt succeed this year Hard Knocks will have nothing to do with it...period. But it will give the Beningo types something to scream and bitch about all season..."How does this help you win, bro"?...Shut the fuck up Joe this isnt the same old Jets.
The thing that gives me total confidence that there's no "Hard Knocks distraction" comes from watching the original show. The 2001 Ravens coaching staff included Rex, Matt Cavanaugh, Marvin Lewis, and Jack Del Rio. All of them have now done HK twice, which tells me they thought it was no big deal the first time around. Yeah the over-exposure may be a little high, but this team needed a culture shock desperately. SOJ has grown way too strong to just shoot in the head. We gotta nuke the fuckin thing.
I wasn't crying or complaining about it - just giving my opinion that I don't like it. To each his own I guess.

Fans want to see their team win first and foremost, and whether or not Hard Knocks is a distraction has yet to be proven. Having said that, I don't know how any fan could be against watching their team's activities behind the scenes.
