    still don't get why Cro gets the brunt of that play.. rush up the middle.. and the corner is lashed for not making the tackle..

    The safety (Weddle I think?) was burned just the same. I expect a Safety to at least slow a RB down some, a CB not so much.

    I don't give a fuck if Cromartie is a liability vs. the run. If he covers his guy, I'm content. Most corners aren't good in run support.

    ^ I would agree. And I like Cro. But I don't like the fact that he fancies himself as a shut down corner after the way his play slipped last year.

    I'm really hoping the change of scenery means as much as he says it does.

    Tackling? yes. Coverage? no. He may not be a shut down corner playing to man, but he is pretty good at what he does. Chargers defense didn't play man-to-man that often and that resulted in his downfall.

    Why the hate? I like the nickname and the confidence.

    For tackling? Just make the effort Cro and slow the opponent down. He doesn't have to become the best tackler on the team.

    I watched that play in slow motion about a dozen times from different angles. I can, with 100% certainty, assure you that he "pulled up" short to avoid tackling Shonn Greene. He then proceeded to run after him down the field to try and tackle him from behind, but he couldn't catch him.

    But I don't knock him for it. A CB's strength is not run-stopping a truck like Greene up the middle. Do you really want Revis doing this all the time? Hell no, he wouldn't hold up physically for long. Same thing with Cro. Rex's defense is perfect for Cromartie. Put him in man-to-man and let him cover.
