http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/07/21/application-of-reallocation-rule-to-revis-is-another-jets-red-herring/#more This is happening a bit too much for me. I know their hands are tied on a lot of situations. But making promises and not following through is a bad rep to have.
Manish should be posting his article soon on how good the chemistry is despite all the worries of adding "questionable" character players.
We wanted to renegotiate an extension for Revis, and frankly there's nothing wrong with that but due to CBA restrictions and Revis wanting a shit ton of money that he will never see, yeah there will be a problem, but a credibility problem? Cimini / Florio are full of shit, Jets are a loyal organization and Brick currently is the leading example of that, down the line Mangold, Harris and Revis will all see that
As I said in the last PFT thread, Florio trashes the Jets because he knows that it'll get reposted on sites like this, and he wants us to click through to his site and comment (angrily or otherwise.) Don't indulge him.
So if Tannenbaum had not said to Revis "We want to re-do your contract," Revis would have suddenly been happy with a $1 million contract this year, and not still come back with an idiotic demand for Aso+ salary? Oh yeah, that makes a lot of sense.
"We want to re-do your contract" doesn't mean "we want to give you all the money you're going to ask"! Is that so hard to understand!?
It's almost as if no one wants to believe the Jets are legitimate contenders this year, so they're inventing problems that just don't exist.
My boss promised me a raise few months, even though I was a contract employee. He raised my pay by TEN TIMES. I asked for SIXTEEN TIMES, but he didn't agree. My boss is not keeping his promise...sounds familiar?
Your exactly correct, to add no one wants to believe were actual contenders ever, from fans of other teams to dumb ass reporters, they think we finally got to a point where we can contend year in and year out and those fuckers laugh it off, well wait until our defense starts royally fucking mother fuckers up this season, it won't be a joke then. Ah I would love for our team to just stick it to all these haters and doubters for a change, and have the Jets hold up that Lombardi Trophy, Jet Players have so many sources for motivation it's not even funny
How do the Colts avoid all this "chemistry" bullshit? Manning's unsigned, Whayne's threatening a holdout, and somehow they get a pass and we get amateur psychoanalysis.
