We wanted to renegotiate an extension for Revis, and frankly there's nothing wrong with that but due to CBA restrictions and Revis wanting a shit ton of money that he will never see, yeah there will be a problem, but a credibility problem? Cimini / Florio are full of shit, Jets are a loyal organization and Brick currently is the leading example of that, down the line Mangold, Harris and Revis will all see that
As I said in the last PFT thread, Florio trashes the Jets because he knows that it'll get reposted on sites like this, and he wants us to click through to his site and comment (angrily or otherwise.) Don't indulge him.
So if Tannenbaum had not said to Revis "We want to re-do your contract," Revis would have suddenly been happy with a $1 million contract this year, and not still come back with an idiotic demand for Aso+ salary? Oh yeah, that makes a lot of sense.
"We want to re-do your contract" doesn't mean "we want to give you all the money you're going to ask"! Is that so hard to understand!?
