www.theredzone.org Just an update, not much new I'm afraid. Still looks like it has potential to get ugly.
am just throwing this out there did you ever think, maybe, just maybe that he has a new contact and this is all hype for rating for Hard Knocks
I've been saying that since day 1.. Guy is clueless about the Salary Cap, clueless about the lack of a CBA and it's effects, and clueless about The deal the Raiders gave Assmongo related to the fact that that team BLOWS and doesn't have to pay anyone else. You want to play on a team that BLOWS then yeah, that team can afford to make you the highest paid player at a position...
those two seasons were pretty funny. Check em out. Last season was more of The Chad Johnson Show, but he is pretty hilarious.
Sorry I don't subscribe to HBO. I just don't care for the programming (except this years Hard Knocks).
Hardly. Besides the anecdotal evidence already in this thread (I have also never watched an episode, and I do have HBO), the highest viewership ever according to HBO was about 3 million viewers (including all of the repeat viewings in a given week). The Jets-Chargers playoff game last year drew 10 times as many viewers as that.
So what is Hard Knocks, can someone fill me in? Damn, if it wasn't for all this Revis commotion I would've never even heard about it.
By the way, more on topic, it seems to me that there are only two possibilities here: either Revis has every intention of eventually signing (so none of these details matter at this point), or he is an idiot who is willing to let his agent possibly screw up the most crucial negotiation of his career without even paying attention. If it's the former, Jets fans have nothing to worry about; if it's the latter, there is probably no hope that this will work out, no matter what Tannenbaum is willing to do.
If it came down to the latter I'd actually be damn proud of Tanny for sticking to his guns and letting Revis sit out the entire season. I honestly don't think Revis could afford to do that so he's going to have to sign eventually. He's probably supporting a small village worth of people at this point.
This just in....Darrelle Revis has fired his agent and hired.....Alvin Keels. :rofl2: (humour disclaimer)
The bolded part is certainly what the author of the blurb would have you believe. There are many ways to spin "news" like this. The author decided he'd go with "Retarded Revis Knows Nothing About his Contract." It very easily could have been spun as "Revis Concentrating on Preparing for Football, as He Should Be," but articles like that don't get their own threads.
I thought the same thing. Like one episode will have been being offered something, and the next episode will show him either accepting or rejecting. It would make for good TV, but be completely bullshit. I don't care as long as he signs.
HBO has never done this to any team they've covered. Its time to put this part of the discussion to rest before it gets ridiculous.
